By the way, anyone else notice, Roddick's beaten Marc Gicquel, Marat Safin and Mario Ancic, and has to play Mardy Fish? Purely a coincidence, I'll bet, but I still find it quite interesting.

as for the Rod/Fish match i would say fish will continue his wonderful winning streak , hopefully ..

AP is reporting that Tommy Robredo has gone to the courts to officially change his name to Marmy Robredo.
 
Whoh carea, the winners iss crushed by Federer in the semise, and then Federer is crushed by samy sweet Nadal in the final now that Blakes is out there is no stoppings Nadal from the title. Federes will be the loser to sweet Nadasl in the final though, the winners osf this match is justs the semifinal losers so nobody gives a *****!

Wait, your back and you say "nobody gives a b!tch!" WTF does that mean? More importantly why can't you spell "of"?
 
I know fish has had a good/lucky run(amazing win over ljubicic,and didnt he go through a round because someone retired?) but i doubt he can beat roddick.

hes bound to beat fish because of the coincidence but then he loses in the semi final coz federers first name is ROGER

I'm guessing circa 11PM tonight EST.

I *think* Fish will get a set tonight (for a 3-1 Roddick win), but this could be a straight setter for Andy. I can't remember how well Fish passes, but Roddick might be wise to play a bit more of his old style against Fish since it seems to have worked pretty well in their head-to-head.
 
I wish the Federer match was before this, so I didn't have to burn the midnight oil. I really think Fish is going to get manhandled tonight, and it is not going to be a very pretty sight.
 
How stupid is this. THe first set is already over. Talk about a donation to your friend. I think he has a mental block of indebtedness.
 
I think Fish is just off to a slow start - just one first serve in opening game? He took out some big seeds on the way, remember, so I think he might put up a good fight.
 
Did you watch that approach shot of Mardy's just now, at 15-0 in the third game? He didn't think at all about where to place it, just sent it to Roddick's forehand without any real pace or rpms when he had the option of going crosscourt to the backhand and at least making Andy work for the pass. This type of thoughtlessness is why he won't beat Andy.
 
Maybe because Fish got lucky, i thought him playing Andy would fire him up, he seems like he wants to give Andy some gifts,hahahaaha
 
Now at 30-15 in the fourth game Mardy executes a good combo and hits a good dtl backhand that stretches roddick, roddick gets to it and gets a nice crosscourt angle moving Mardy off the court but Andy's backhand side of the court is gaping open for the dtl forehand winner. But because of Mardy's poor mechanics or footwork he hits his forehand back to the middle of the court where Andy can just slice it back deep. Andy goes on to win the point and the game.
 
You are damn right, Ferrer would have at least scrapped out there. Fish can't hit a first serve in, he can't hit a volley, and his supposedly nice backhand sucks also.
 
I think Fish is having brain cramps. He came in behind a drop shot and just took off crosscourt before Roddick even got set to hit the ball??
 
Yep, that drop shot was an awesomely bad play. Unless Federer sucks big time tonight, these could be two of the worst quarters in some time. This Fish match is as bad as Federer v. Bjorkman from Wimby last year. I get the feeling that the friendship deal is all that is preventing some food from being served in the form of bagels and breadsticks.
