Fitness tracker

I'm looking to get a fitness tracker for on and off the court. Does anyone have any suggestions for one that works well for tennis? When I'm looking at reviews of the newer devices, most have sports and activities included now. I haven't really seen one that includes tennis. Thoughts or ideas?

If you're looking for accurate calorie burn, and heart rate, best choice is the Vivofit with the heart rate monitor strap. Stay away from the Fitbit or any of these other trackers that rely on optical sensors to monitor heart rate... They're grossly inaccurate. If you simply want something to track footsteps than most any brand will do... However if you want heart rate, and consequently calories burned, you really should go with a fitness tracker that measures heart rate with a strap versus optically

Going to give this a bump because I'm in the market for one as well.

Fitbit Charge HR would be nice if only it were fully waterproof like the Garmins

This is a pain because I enjoy wearing mechanical watches, so the smart watches are generally out of the question.

A whole range of new smart watches coming out from Sony , Apple ,etc . Meant to have better GPS , heartbeat and altimeters included . I have a My-zone with heartbeat strap , I find it annoying as I sweat a lot . Lets hope the new optical ones are better. The one in my phone is pretty accurate, but it uses a big light and good camera.

I'm going to wait for the Charge 2...from the leaks it seems to have most of the things I want, other than being swimming friendly

Again, you need to be careful with optical heart rate sensors as they're so heavily influenced by sweat, skin pigmentation, etc... They're woefully inaccurate to say the least in some frequent conditions... If measuring heart rate and having an accurate calorie burn are important to you I strongly recommend you consider getting a device with a heart rate strap. I use one and even when I sweat it's fine and I rarely notice it's on me
