Flat feet - need help

Hi all!

Looking for help finding a shoe that is durable, supportive, and fits for flat feet (medium-wide fit). Some preference on shoes new and old:
  1. I fit into the Head Revolts great but the durability is not nearly good enough and gave me some slight heel pain
  2. The new GR8's fit awful. Rolling over the side of them, too narrow. I liked the GR5's, last asics I liked.
  3. Barracades new and old just don't fit my foot - pain in mid foot.
  4. Nike Ballistec 4.3 all time favorite shoe
Any recs?

I have a similar issue. I’ve read the New Balance 806 and 1006 are candidates.

Of course I could just give up on style and go Fitville

I have flat feet and learned that I also run flat footed. I found Wilson Rush Pro to be supportive and comfortable. If I don’t wear the right shoes, I end up having so much pain in my knees and legs that choosing the right shoes are super important for me. Like you, my favorite Asics is GR5. It fit the best, imo.

New Balance has always been the best option for my flat feet.
I’ve heard you have to have a high arch for the LAV V2s though, so it’s unfortunately not as sweeping as that.

I would check out Foot Doctor Zach as he often adds ideal foot types for shoes at the end of his reviews. You can find a lot of good info there.

That could be, I have the original LAVs right now and have had multiple iterations of the 996s without any issues. I have never tried the LAV 2s, I've just anyways had luck with new balance, both for tennis and for anything else really.

I have tried so many different shoes, all of them too narrow for me. My mid foot is really wide and always struggle with discomfort.

Current set up which I really love is K Swiss Hypercourt Supreme with Superfeet carbon insole. The stock insole is actually really thick unlike most big brand knock off ones, swapping them out has made them fit perfectly!

Both Carbon and blue work for me!

Fresh foam lav 2 wide
K-Swiss hypercourt express 2 wide
Wilson rush pro 4.0 or Ace
Don't get nb 1006. I wear these. Only because I have 4e feet and there are no other shoes. They have this rock hard cover underneath the Insole and on top of the midsole. Your feet will get damaged. I have to buy multiple insoles and use them both at the same time.

I’m flat footed and used to have a hard time finding 2E shoes.

Tried out the Babolat Jet Mach IIIs and loved them. They come in wide but the normal size works just fine for me.

Yonix Sonicage also makes wide shoes but they’re not as comfortable as the Mach IIIs
