Floating clamps on the project 7one

I use floating clamps (klippermate ones plus a stringway triple clamp) which are usually fine but the string spacing on the fsi technology 16x19 patterns is quite different on the outer mains and the top 4 or 5 crosses to the point that when clamped the strings are around 4mm away from parallel which is def losing a bunch of tension upon release.
I have restrung it tonight raising last 2 outer mains (poly) by 10lbs to compensate.

Anyone think of a better answer or am i doing best available option?

That's just one of the limitations of floating clamps, and raising your reference tension is about the best you can do. So good work, and don't sweat it.

Don't bother compensating. You tension your string at x lbs and you clamp it stretching the string just a bit. You tension the next string and remove the last clamp all that extra stretch is now gone. Why compensate? If you want to use a certain type of machine use it and if the feel of the racket after you string it is fine your fine. If it feels a little loose or tight raise or lower the tension to compensate. No reason to second guess your equipment.

Irvin the slack caused is far greater than when i would string my aeropro drives etc. After tying off the mains and plucking them there is a large differenxe in frequencies on the last mains. If the strIngs are say 1.5cm apart and the clamp is a cm apart when clamped at X tension. Once clamp removed they have that half cm of slack

That is true there is going to be some issues but I would not try to manually correct. All that plucking and picking can detect differences in how individual string sound especially on the tie off strings but when the job is done and you play with the racket the right feel you get is what you want to strive for. After you tie off your mains it you want pick and tug on the outer mains to equalize the tones do it. But it wont matter.
