FO 2017 QF: Novak Djokovic vs Dominic Thiem

A rematch of their RG SF last year.

It must be noted that Thiem has only won 1 set in all his lifetime matches against Djokovic so far. Surprisingly, he hasn't won a single set against Nole on clay, the surface on which he excels. He also received his biggest beating just 2 weeks ago in the Rome semis.

Everything points to a straight set win for Nole. The questions is: will the Rome semi beating stick in Thiem's mind during the match or will Domi shake it off when they collide?

Probably not the best matchup for Thiem.
Nole will go into it with some confidence, and come out with even more.

If I am Thiem, I am laughing off the h2h. I am thinking I am a new player....and i either treat the Rome loss as meaningless, or as a way to motivate myself to grab the first set and play relentlessly.

I know I am definitely going to make the time to tune in for this quarterfinal!
