Slice'n'Dice, I can honestly imagine you saying the same thing even if he won a treble for Liverpool, that's how much you hate the guy.
Pulis with cash

Do Liverpool have high expectations in general or would have Mourinho raised them just with his arrival? Because I see you highly praising Klopp for a fourth place finish. He'd never manage Liverpool and never would have done, too little money with too much expectation his ego wouldn't let him take the risk. Plus he'd be expected to develop youngsters, another Jose no-no.

lol Something we have in common. Josh Harrop has been in my u18's for 5 seasons and is now worth about 20 quid.
Gomes did make it though.
Generally they do yeah, it's a huge club. That creates expectations, but most Liverpool fans now can see that going from 8th to 4th with 16 more points with all the other teams with all those all star managers spending big money (Tottenham aside) in the summer is a very good achievement. Tinged with disappointment considering how good the first half of the season was, but looking at it rationally you have to say it's a good season, no matter what Jermaine Jenas might think.
I'm pretty good on mine, tend to go for the Chelsea method of a lot of loans but do like to ease people in and have been doing that quite well on my latest one. Is Josh Harrop any good on it though, don't remember seeing much of him coming through on my game.
Special man and special club when even in average days they win more shiny stuff than 90% of other big names.
Meanwhile, there is a possibility that Wenger got a long time successor, may the fourth be with him (and nothing else).
Mourinho's Pulis with cash.

Of course but I only said shiny, not prestigious. Still it's a better season than Liverpool's. Direct CL qualification alongside a European trophy and one domestic cup is better than only direct CL qualification or playoffs.as if anyone takes the community shield seriously, heck the intertoto cup is more prestigious.
yeah because the fact the klopp finished 4th in his first full season in England, having made a profit the summer before, (whilst his rivals are spending an obscene amount of money on mediocre flops) * is somehow a stick to beat him with?!
Plus unlike Arsenal & the rest of English clubs (bar City perhaps), Liverpool can beat anyone on their day, and that includes the likes of Barca, Madrid, Bayern etc. Get the ins & outs right in the summer and next season could be a special one.
*forgot to mention going unbeaten against the top7
^^In a nutshell. man united this season have been a rich mans West Bromwich basically. ****ing awful to watch.
Mourinho was desperate for the Liverpool job but we hired Rafa instead (thank Fowler) explains why he's so obsessed with us, knocking him out in the semis twice (Luis' Garcia what a wonderfully taken goal, wonder why he's still moaning about it ) just poured salt in the wound, poor fella.
Honestly I'd rather have hodgson back. And a ****ing hate the owl. At least it'd be easier to get to away games.
if we're honest united fans would take Klopp over Maureen as well, that ship has sailed though and obviously most of them won't admit to it.
Klopp came to Liverpool long before Mourinho to Man United was even a speculation. I do admit that when Chelsea sacked him while it was known that Pep would leave Bayern, I was rooting more for Pep. Can't complain about the club's decision so far though.if we're honest united fans would take Klopp over Maureen as well, that ship has sailed though and obviously most of them won't admit to it.
Not really sure about Harrop to be honest. You have players like Tuanzebe that stand out from the beginning of the game. Some slip under the radar. One of their philosophy is to bring through young players so I do spend time looking at them. It hard to stick to that philosophy when their transfer budget is pretty much limitless. I'd have to make a challenge to myself before I start a game. I'm sure people out there do that sort of thing. Only allowed to spend such and such etc.
Lost the plot recently when I went after Dybala. lol
haha Could Moussa Dembele do it on a cold rainy night in Manchester?
Sorry guys. More footy rubbish. I'm sure you know. If you ever need an affordable ( 10- 15 million) world class striker at the beginning of the game, Dembele is the man for the job.

The guy has had success everywhere, coaching world giants like Real Madrid and Manchester United, why would he want Liverpool job?
I like Klopp, the playing style under him is usually fun (his Borussia were a breath of fresh air) and he is full of that positive energy. Can't hate the guy even if you wanted to. Though after past few disappointing seasons we needed someone charming and a proven winner. Mou was a great fit. I am sure he'll be called out even by the fans if he uses too many negative tactics next season because just like every other big English team, Man United will have a clearly stronger line-up. Not that I think it was West Brom this time anyway. Clear upgrade from Moyes' and Van Gaal's teams.
As for the bold part I would honestly love to have you contending for titles with us. 2009 style. Good luck.
Tottenham are pretty good at it as well. Their rise in the last two years has been enjoyable to watch and great for the league.Wouldn't mind that, so long as you're second, although I kind of like the idea of Liverpool and Everton being 1 and 2 more to be honest although that's probably further off, they have a good manager in Koeman though, kind of looking a bit like Andy Murray of the League at the moment, quite a way ahead of the rest but quite a way from the top 6 too. From a pure football perspective I'd probably say Liverpool and Man City, probably the teams that play the most attractive football in the League on their day. That 1-1 at the Etihad was one of the games of the season, could've easily been about 4-4 crazy game.

Yeah I watched that one. Lallana and Aguero missed sitters and there were plenty of other chances as well. City don't like playing you at all, especially at Anfield.
Yeah you have that philosophy for Liverpool too, Trent Alexander Arnold becomes absolutely fantastic, hard to get him into the side though for a while because Clyne is so good on it, but was able to play him quite a bit in the cups and to rest Clyne. The one position I have never looked to fill is right back. Not too many who just come from the academy though, most of the other young players have been youngsters I've bought, always great to find those wonderkids. Have started to get pretty big budgets at times but not limitless, about 60 or 70 is about the most I get as Liverpool. What sort of budgets do you get? Did sign Thomas Lemar for 90 odd million from Monaco one season but he's never really ended up being a regular for me and sold him for about half that. Just didn't like having a 90 million pound player.
Dybala actually went to Man Utd on my game, with him about 29 or something, went after him myself but he didn't want to discuss terms even, it was January and was cruising for the title as well too at the time. Looks absolutely incredible on it though it has to be said.
Does he become a world class striker? Remember him looking pretty good but surprised that he would get that good. Definitely seems like you get that on too many players getting to being described on World class striker.
The first thing I do is scouting, hot prospects and then move the bar from good to star. Of course, a lot of the time, the game will know what they're worth and won't let you steal them, but it is good to find some of them with the minimum release in their contract. Used to be great getting David Silva for 5 back in his Valencia days.
United are now offering about 300 million a season. :/ It would be better if my philosophy was to sign big names. That is what it truly is to be fair. I do believe Dybala is my most expensive ever. I just had to get him. 80 up front and overall 160. Yeah, I did lose the plot.
Dembele is not on the Alan Shearer level of world class (Messi and Ronaldo) but I think he is in the traditional sense of what world class is. Not on the absolute top tier with the likes of Dybala, Icardi and the rest, but for what he has done for me in 2 games, I'd have to call him world class. Of course, now that I do have Dybala and I play 4-5-1 (433 with 2 wingers), he will have to leave. Too good to waste the rest of his career on the bench and I also have cover coming through. One that is making his way through my system. Finishing, flair are at a high level already. Physically a specimen with good determination.
I promise to open a football manager thread.
