Footwork/swing help on short 2 handed backhands

My 2 handed backhand is great when I have time to setup and I've been working on hitting better on the run, but I'm still struggling with pulling up and not swinging through the shot using my body off a short ball where I'm on the run moving forward.

For example, if my opponent hits a drop shot or just a weak ball that I have to run up for and don't have time to completely stop, load my left leg, turn my shoulders, and then transfer weight into the shot and follow through then how do you hit the 2 handed backhand without it being all arm or pulling up?

Hard to describe in words, but try doing something like this:

EDIT: Timestamps don't work, see 0:35 and 6:15 for examples

Notice Ferrero is still shifting his weight through the shot, as he is moving forward. Also he approaches the ball sideways, to allow said weight transfer to happen.

I like to think of my upper and lower bodies as separate parts. The upper body prepares for the shot and then hits, the lower body gets me there.
The upper body is doing its thing regardless of what the lower body is doing. The lower body may be running to the side or forward but the upper body is still turning, prepping, etc.
Also the lower body doesn't have to be perfectly set to hit a good ball. You can have one foot, or no feet on the ground when hitting.
Mentally, I'm with the upper body: cool and collected, doing its thing methodically, not rushing, not panicking. All the while my legs are busting their butts to get me there.
This is not easy, but it can be done. It will require time and practice, and better fitness/athleticism. Perfect is not the goal, but make small improvements it will make a big difference in your game.
