2015 French Open easily. He'd done all the hard work, winning two of the previous three majors, a slew of tennis masters 1000 events and beating Nadal at the French Open. The final we thought would be a coronation. Then he lost.
I will add USO 2016. Not devastating but it was very frustrating to watch. I think he was like 3/17 on break points plus he had the toe injury and controversial MTO. I remember Novak had a few great defensive moments in the match but overall he played very uninspired tennis.
For me, all those careless losses from 2008-2010 and 2012-2014 and 2016-2018. That's basically a bunch of years where he just wasn't motivated to win. A fully fit Rafa with talent would not have thrown those years away. Just like fully fit Fed didn't throw away 2003-2009.
Djokovic's problem has always been motivation, and he can't really get motivated unless it's against Fedal for some reason.

Tend to agree. Then again it motivated him to go on to win the next 4 slams. I think Nole’s results in the following 12 months were the most dominating in Open Era tennis.
