For people who think there is no chance rafa pulls out of the semi. He pulled out of RG.

Nadal has retired and not competed quite a few grand slams so I’m not sure how the cried wolf applies!
I have never said that Nadal fakes injuries, I just say that Rafa so often used the injured card that when real injuries come, people, including me, started to have doubt if the injuries are real or not.
Tell me at least 10 Grand Slam matches where Nadal actually lost fair without any "injury", and I may change my opinion.

Didn't he say he wouldn't be able to play in Wimby? I don't really think it's that bad.
he never said that. he said he couldn't continue the way he was unless they found a solution other than numbing it with injections. and they did find a solution so he was able to play.

In 2016, Nadal had a wrist injury and playing through it was not an option. If he played though injury against Fritz and won in 5, I would think the current injury is manageable or Rafa wouldn't risk it at this point in his career.

I'd give it a 50/50 shot of him pulling out. I hope I'm wrong but they obviously knew he was in bad shape when he hasn't practiced his serve in 2 days and his mom and dad told him to quit when he took the MTO.

question i have for the haters will they say he is faking it if he pulls out of the tournament?

Get real. I know he’s your idol/god but he’s not pulling out and he’s not injured.

Joker unlike Nadal wasn't being outplayed in set1 despite hitting big & playing good.
And yes, even he exaggerated it. 26mm abdomen tear lol. "Documentary to come out by year end" lol. Its been 6 months since 2021 ended and we're waiting.

Djoko’s tear lol That was always a good one.

Haha he isn't pulling out. Not this close.

He’s also not injured so there’s that.

Nadal always has an injury when he is losing. How’s that foot injury from the French Open (which he started hamming up after his loss in Rome) coming along?

His new thing is injuries after wins. Looks like everyone’s forgotten about the foot that needs to be amputated or whatever..

He was seen practising just before his match against Fritz. Whatever problem he had ...actually in between the 1st and 2nd set. But he was playing fine in the 5th set

Anyone who watched that semi and thought Nadal was faking simply doesn’t understand tennis.

Not only is Nadal far better than Fritz, his serve speed was down 15mph from set 2.

Nadal was broken more times today in the first 4 sets than any other match he’s ever played in his Wimbledon career.
Because Fritz is a great returner, or because his serve was impacted? Doesn’t take Einstein to work out the answer.
Nadal needs to fake and play possum against Taylor Fritz. lol

Very bold of you in naming that match against Ferrer. Despite Nadal saying at that time he surely have teared the fibers. I think Ferru won fair and square, but that's just me.
(I cannot find that tweet but I'll reserve the space for it)
Thanks anyway.

Rafa didn't pull out of RG; the others did. Rafa has not pulled out of Wimpbleedon; the others have. Daniil would've not pulled out, if he didn't have to ;)

Because a non injured player has a scan on his abdominal injury. Right…

Meh, I listed 12 cuz I’m not sure if 1 or 2 of these had injuries brought up in them. I’m almost 100% sure that atleast 10 of the 12 had no injuries surrounding them, though, and you asked for 10

It's doubtful that we can take a player's account of their injury at face value because we are quite clearly not in a position to know.

So he was carrying it before the match and likely from round one( as i said) and it got worse. I still think it can be managed with injection.

Djokovic is a shadow of the player he was. Its masked on grass as not many can play on it. He will struggle on hard courts as he has lost most of his hest weapons i.e the BHDTL 2nd serve and his shot tolerance as he gets tired quicker and pulls the trigger early in rallies. Djokovic has this W to bag a slam. His serve speeds are declining noticeable.
Those may all be temporary due to lack of match practice and could be addressed. Still think he has a few years, especially now that Carlos has been unable to make deep runs at slams yet.

What are those "magical powers" that allowed the Serb to continue in the tournament and miraculously recover to win the Australian Open?
Only their medical teams know but maybe these are sprains that go away quickly.

He won't pull out.

Nadal is more egotist that he pretends to be

His lust for calendar slam will keep him around just in case something happens to Nick (on or off court) and the Spaniard wiggles thru to the next round at the last minute

He has time to see how the Djoker match goes.
If Novak injures himself and retires, he'd have a real chance to win it. If not, it's probably best to withdraw and let Nick rest, for a better chance to stop Novak in the final.

He saw Djokovic AO 2021 and realised that's the only way to beat the great Taylor Fritz.
Attempt 1 at Indian Wells where he faked his rib fracture didn't work, but got him on the second try. Reducing serve speed and getting his family to ask him to retire all part of the carefully calibrated plot.

you only needed to see the lack of leg and knee movement when he was serving to clearly see he was hampered.

I looked at the match replay. He looked awfully compromised in his BH and serve. It’s over man. No one recovers from that. So sad.

Even if he was less likely to beat Djoko at least he still had a 40% chance in the final. Now it’s 0%. CYGS over not because of play but injury. So sad
Are you kidding me? The only reason it even started was because Djokovic was kicked out of the AO.

we’ve already seen that players can win Slams while injured as long as this inept field lets them

bet he thinks it’s worth a shot

If he had to face Norrie and Sinner to win it then maybe it would be worth a shot. But he has no chance against Kyrgios and especially Djokovic.

It’s Kyrgios. Everyone has a chance against him.

Agree that he is not the favorite for the Djokovic match though.
