For those of us who want CARLOS ALCARAZ to win the U.S. Open!

Some of us just love Carlos and think he is the future of the ATP tour post-big 3 era. I know he will eventually win many slams and be the #1 player in the world - so why not start now??? :) :) :) Win or lose tonight or the tournament he is simply wonderful! :) For those of us who love Carlos we need a safe place where the Carlos haters can just stay away!!!!! This thread is meant to be a place of refuge for us Carlos lovers to not have the constant attack of his haters doing their blah blah blech awfulness!!!

If Carlos wins tonight I do think he will win the USO this year. It would be beyond amazing!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

He's really a amazing talent, could really become the greatest ever after Fedalovic retires. I just hate his celebrations and fist pumps.

We'll see if Carlitos becomes just the eighth teenager to win a Major tournament in the Open Era and the second to win the US Open at that age, after "Pistol Pete" in 1990.
Will Alcaraz make it?

If he does, it will be a bigger gap from Nadal to him than from Pete to Nadal.

If they would let me change my user name without losing all of my data I would do it. I also want to be able to finish up adding names to the winner's list thread I have in the General Discussion threads. I have been Rafa's fan since 2003 but I have switched to loving Carlos the most since the beginning of 2021 - what an amazing year and a half he has had! While I want him to win tonight (and Friday and Sunday too) I try to remind myself he is 19 and has time on his side to become #1 and win Grand Slams. But I would love it if it happened at this tournament! :) :) :) :) :)

Carlos is a phenomenal talent and i would like to see him winning this USO but i won't mind it if anyone else left in the draw wins it. Tiafoe, Rudd are all hard working player and a good head over their shoulders so i won't mind them winning either. Also, i have always liked Khachnov's powerful hitting , so would cheer for him. I am sure not many can complain about the winner of this USO.

While I would be happiest for Carlos to win I do really like both Ruud and Khachanov - I am not a Tiafoe fan though. I would be over the moon with happiness if Carlos were to win the tournament! Just so happy he has made it into his first ever Grand Slam semi! :)

I have become reluctant to bandwagons after too many dissappointments. First it was Dimitrov & peers who turned out a huge dissappointment. Then overhyped Thiem. A few years ago the new "Big4" was supposed to be Medvedev/Zverev/Tsitsipas/Shapo, say no more.

But if Alcaraz (or Sinner) turns out to be the next Big thing, im all in!

An Alcaraz vs Ruud final would be awesome since they are both potential #1's. Not sure if they are both in the final if Ruud can still get there if he wins the match? (Not sure of the math as far as the points are concerned). I also really like Khachanov. Not a fan of Tiafoe, just not one of my favorites.

I have read that if Alcaraz makes it to the final he will be #1 regardless....

I still like Smalcatraz even better, though, I don't think there's enough discussion about his height on TTW

That’s your problem. Until you don’t change your username, all your threads and posts supporting Alcaraz are deemed illegal.

I give Carlos a 98% chance of winning tonight. If the worst happens I will be devastated but I have lived through much worse in my life than my favorite tennis player losing an important match. VAMOS CARLOS!!!!!!!! Carlos all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get the hate, the guy is young, very good at tennis and extremely exciting to watch...what more do you want?

He celebrates too much? He lies about his height?

I guess Medvedev is perfect for TTW's tastes: Tall, boring, doesn't celebrate too much, allergic to the net but does win a lot!

Yeah I'll take Carlos. Jannik's growing on me as well.
