For Troy: Phantom 100G

Noticed on your playtester profile you have the 100G as one of your top 3 racquets. I've been using the PCG 100 bascially since it came out but have slowly transitioned into the 100G. I have them weighted up with some TW tape at 10 and 2 weighting in just under 12 oz. Curious on your preferred string set up and customization of these frames? The feeling is so good, yet I wonder if using all multi or even syn gut is what this racquet craves most for just a little more power? Its a real shame these racquets aren't as recognized for how good they are.

Yes, a great feeling racquet and I do notice the low powered feel. Compared to the other Phantoms, I do really like the addition of the cross bar stabilizer as it gives a bit more solid and stable feel. I would really like the try a 97 square inch version of this racquet, I think that would be just about ideal for what I like. I enjoyed the Phantom 97P, but there were times when playing against hard hitters, where it felt a bit wobbly or flexed a bit too much when contacting off center.

I added some weight mostly in the 3/9 o'clock locations, not sure the exact amount but the swingweight ended being about 331 strung. From there I added a bit of handle weight, and strung the overall weight is about 12 ounces strung with an overgrip. The last time I strung the racquet, it was with Hyper-G 1.25mm at 47 pounds, and that feels pretty good to me, although it is a low powered frame I like the combination of the low powered frame with the lively and open string pattern; easy launch angle.
