I was just wondering, lol. I don't play, but playing rec league doesn't make you smart about the pro game either. No offence, but I'd still call you an "armchair expert."

Playing rec leagues (or at all) may not make you "smart" about the pro game but it can give someone a deeper or more detailed understanding of what is happening on the pro court if all other things are equal.

I agree, but I don't think the poster I was originally responding to has any room to criticize anyone and certainly not in that tone. I've seen enough of their posts to know the difference. Not saying they're a bad poster, but I haven't seen anything deeply insightful from them just because they own a racket and they played a couple days ago. I have nothing against rec leagues or anyone who plays tennis though. I think that's great.

Ah, gotcha. I thought you were speaking in general. I'm at these forums infrequently so I'm oblivious to any undercurrents or trends by specific posters. :)

Why tennis? The most important thing is cardio + resistance work in whatever form it takes. If you get additional FUN playing tennis, great.
