Forehand Critique (Video)

Got some critique back in September of last year. Have been working on the forehand a bit more - trying to incorporate more of the off hand on the swing as well as additional shoulder rotation. My current problem right now is that a lot of these balls seem to being going 3-5 feet long despite having decent shape. I also have trouble with a natural windshield wiper motion in my follow through. My stroke collapses a bit and bends at the elbow. My grip is somewhere between an eastern forehand and a semi-western....probably a bit more eastern. (Use "." or "," to go frame by frame)
.

Anyway, have at it. Tear me apart!

I don't know if it's your clothing, but it appears as though your elbow is close to your body. Video from the rear?

Be nice if you could get the elbow away from the body.

You do have the beginning of good form, however there are a few areas which could use minor improvement.

You are conscientious, so I'm guessing improvements will happen in these areas eventually so I won't go there.

It's important to hit the ball way out in front, a bit more than what you're currently doing. Lay the wrist back for this.

I gotta say, you do look good.

You‘re dropping the ball too far back. Also, it would be much better to video yourself playing rather than drop feeding to yourself. It’s not realistic as your movement to the ball in a rally dictates how well you will execute your shot. Drop feeding isn’t telling us much besides showing that your technique looks sound from a stationary position. Tennis isn’t golf however.

Tennis coach here. I completely agree ^

But for the sake of time, here are the 2 things for OP to improve:
1. Extension. This starts with positioning. Your elbow will get away from your body by doing this.
2. On a couple shots you opened up the body a tad early. Shoulder turn.

You do a good job of leaning into the ball. Great follow through. You watch the ball well too. Good luck!

Well, not every stroke/contact was perfect.
Yes, you should make contact a bit more forward.
Having said that, who among us is perfect?
Focus on your contact point and racket path "through"
the ball. Looks like you are keeping light on you feet and
adjusting to the ball well. good work.
