forehand: footwork moving to the left

Hitting forehands from my right side, i haven't dubt on weight management ...
back foot search the best grip on the ground and back leg always command during the swing.

When I move to the left.. or left-forwad (around) to attack a short ball on my left side with forehand,
i'm confused on weight/balance management wiith my feet.

Moving to the left or left/forward ... i found a good balance searcing a good "grip on the ground"
with the left foot and push with left leg... but i afraid i'm really wrong.

The question are:

1 - On forehand, have I to search EVERYTIME the best grip with the back foot then push with back leg ,
regardless direction i'm coming from ?

2 - In such cases, we recommend "to search the ground" with the left foot during the forward swing ?

Thank you

Alberto

I think you want to know about aproach shot. Thats the only case i move around the ball, in all other case i have a confident backhand to take care.
I do not worry about my foot grip and i focus only on weight tranfer to my front foot (neutral position). Learn to play your aproach shot with neutral position and all your questions will be answered. You cannot effectively apply your modern forehand here because you dont have enough time to setup you backfoot. Instead if you play in neutral stance you can use your momentum in transfering weight.
