Forten Gear 17g/15g

Just bought a Forten Gear of one of the famous auction sites and I cannot find any information on it. Did I just buy Kevlar string or is this something other than Forten Aramid Gear? Drawing on the reel looks like a synthetic gut with gear shape coating, and solid filament in the center. Cut a few inches off the reel just to analyze what it is and it doesn't feel rope-like a kevlar would it feels stiff like a stiff synthetic gut. I will string these strings one of these days and writeup a review here. Anyone know if these are kevlar or synthetic gut?

I'm just guessing here, but it looks to me like Forten Spin Gear, which is a nylon/syngut (not kevlar). You can see it in their catalog: http://www.forten.com/catalog.pdf . It's also marked as 17G/15G (core/teeth).

If you look on the auction site, there's all sorts of interesting discontinued strings, some made by (or at least sold by) major manufacturers! I don't think the category of shaped synthetic gut/shaped multifilaments has ever been popular, mostly because the material is just too soft to make a difference in the spin potential.
