Found in Yard Sale

Was visiting my Brother in Coastal Georgia. There was a very large yard sale going on and we went looking. Along with a Sea Island Plantation Woodie and press (never used he said) was this beauty...a Chris Evert Autograph...4 1/8 leather grip and racquet press. I took a picture of it to post, it was marked $25.00 The guy asks me if I like it. I told him, yes, I like it. He says $10 for you...so...I came home with it. Hope you enjoy it:)

the funny thing is, is that at every garage sale in the world all the items for sale have "never been used!" :)

Haha...very true...He must've thought I just fell off the Kumquat truck yesterday;) In his defense, it did look pretty sweet and no signs of wear.

It is a sad truth that during the height of the tennis boom period many quality frames were purchased and not ever used much.

It's always sweet to find cool racquets at yard sales and thrift stores. No matter how many you have laying around...what's a few more? :)

Very nice find. A few months ago I was at a community event that had a "white elephant" table. Picked up a Wilson Jack Kramer autograph racquet, in its original racquet press, in good shape for 2$. I even offered more for it but the guy said 2$ was fine. Are you going to hit with the Evert racquet?

Great find Carlos! Lovely racket. Are you going to restring it and use it for a few matches? Must be worth a hit or two.....

Well, due to all of the peer pressure, I suppose I must. I do have small hands so the 4 1/8 works for me. Will report when it happens
