Four reasons to be excited about the return of JT Brooksby

He’s a very crafty player and doesn’t play the same style as most players. He has (hopefully it’s improved while he’s been off tour) a cream puff serve for someone his size but he figures out how to beat guys you might think he should lose to. And it's interesting to watch him frustrate opponents. If you watch courtside it’s even better. You can literally hear the opponents frustration during changeovers. Like how am I losing to this guy vibes, sometimes articulated.

Check him out sometime. He beat your favorite Mikeal Ymer at the 2021 USO. Ymer like all Brooksby victims left the court frustrated and bewildered that he lost.

To each their own. I like a little variety on tour. His game to me is more interesting than most players and certainly any member of the American bropack.

He has been called unorthodox, a defensive baseliner, a redirector of pace, a counterpuncher.
He also eats cheeseburgers on changeovers. Sounds intriguing.
In many ways, MHM plays a similar counterpunching style but at least MHM has a huge serve.
The red flag for Brooksby is the serve. Tough to get excited about a player that reportedly has a weak serve.

You’re way overusing your feigned ignorance posts. You need a new routine. No one will buy that a guy that daily monitors TTW (under old and new screen name) and is very into tennis doesn’t know who Brooksby is or that he took a provisional ban. Not for doping though. Same as your favorite Ymer — missing three tests. Though unlike Ymer he accepted the ban and he didn’t retire.

Consider taking an afternoon off from TTW and develop some new material.

Some players used to smoke on the sidelines. A Big Kahuna Burger between sets could be a winning formula.
