Holy cow those specs!PT57A2, 18x20, 27.5”

What is Juan Manuel's actual racquet?

380 sw!!!! Holy Cheetah!!!
Too true.
Whatever extreme JM is using it's not the frying pan under new paint. It's the newest mold.. I guess the mold since the Touch version/???
You were saying?Easier on clay where you have 3 days to set up your swing. Lets see him wield that on faster courts![]()
Bump, for Francisco's victory over Baez. That monster spec seemed to come in handy as he was redirecting Baez's pace and spin and blasting forehand missiles all match long!
A very interesting outlier of the mass movement to lower static and swing weights. Goes to show heavy can still win, provided fitness and mechanics are there.
Wow that's close to my racquet's swing weight!PT57A2, 18x20, 27.5”

Thanks!Kirschbaum Max. Power is the string he is using.
No, sorry. Only found this video. Thanks!
Do you know his usual tension?
Still a bit different. Stan is wielding a VC95D in standard 27" length, with strung spec of 372g/32.2cm/360sw, so he's got more static weight and less swing weight, plus a bit more open string bed, all of which work better for his OHBH. Francisco's PT57A2 is ~20g lighter in static weight, and would be the same in swing weight (~360), but the extra .5" of length bumps the swing weight another 20 points up to ~380 or so. Both are beastly specs though!Very similar to Stan specs.
That's cool! I never heard of a pro using Kirshbaum Max Power until now.Stringing Max Power at 53 in Houston

Willy Canas used to play with Kirschbaum, I believe Gaston Gaudio too
what does this mean? do you mean power relative to length?380 SW in a 27.5 frame is equivalent to 360 SW in a 27 inch frame in terms of relative power level.
i think Gaudio was sponsored by Toalson (had the logo on his strings and their yellow grip tape for his tourna grip) but always used Kirschbaum, before eventually switching to ALU towards the endalways seemed like Argentinian players were the most open to trying various brands
i think gaudio in particular also had runs with Toalson and Luxilon, along with Kirsch as you mentioned
I believe back in the days not all the manufacturers had reps in south America. Kirschbaum was one of the few, that's my understanding in that matteralways seemed like Argentinian players were the most open to trying various brands

you are right about Gaudio. But there were many other Argentineans stringing with Kirschbaumi think Gaudio was sponsored by Toalson (had the logo on his strings and their yellow grip tape for his tourna grip) but always used Kirschbaum, before eventually switching to ALU towards the end
yeah Kirschbaum and Luxilon BB Original were definitely regular sights with the Argentinians on touryou are right about Gaudio. But there were many other Argentineans stringing with Kirschbaum
No, he was using full max power. That list tennis nerd put out has so many wrong info on it, I wouldn't trust it.I know the Monte Carlo stringing logs say Cerundolo is using Max Power in the mains and VS Gut in the crosses. Are my eyes deceiving but does it look like he's tried gut in the mains in Munich and reverted to poly/gut in Madrid?

hard to play for the average JoePrestige is the best
It’s psychological. If you can play with a Blade you can play with a Prestige.hard to play for the average Joe
Exactly that is my push ;p I would even argue that it’s easier to play with the prestige pro (than blade 18x20) because it’s more HL and slightly lower sw with thinner beam. It’s psychological. If you can play with a Blade you can play with a Prestige.
100%. plus the edge radius on the throat of blades is bad (retail, not pro labs), feels almost like a 90 degree angle in your hand and is super uncomfortable. It’s psychological. If you can play with a Blade you can play with a Prestige.
I played with the Blade 18x20 many years loving it. I bought many generations of Prestige’s never hit even one time like I used to with the BladesIt’s psychological. If you can play with a Blade you can play with a Prestige.
sounds psychological. but maybe try the LM radical or YT IG radical. a better blade than the blades imo. it’s what the blade is a rip off of anyhow.I played with the Blade 18x20 many years loving it. I bought many generations of Prestige’s never hit even one time like I used to with the Blades
