Don't really care about the clay season but Dubai, Indian Wells and Miami are gonna be so much worse now.
They had to cancel the one trip and want to make it up for the fansThought the honeymoon trip was over
He was a pleasure to watch on clay last year. I was so hoping to watch him in another RG.
It's not Christmas anymoreIt has nothing to do with the post. I sign all my posts with the same smilies, with very rare exceptions. Just think of it as a signature.
It's not Christmas anymore
It wasn’t obvious to you he was injured? He barely moved in the second and third sets against Novak.I didn't believe the injury talk during AO
I mean I know it was a long time ago now relatively, but last time he had to take time off due to surgery he came back better than he'd been in the better part of a decade. This is sad, how much longer will we have the maestro around?

This sucks.
Though on the flip side he might actually be fresh for the USO for once.
Or Wimbledon, if he somehow manages to get the issue of not playing enough under control. He will need it.
I think most people believed he was just old and didn’t have it anymore.
Even in a thread where its about Fed and his injury you have to bash on Djokovic. Love it!Not after how Djokovic lost at YEC and scrapped through Paris Indoors and Wimb
Last time he had such break, he returned stronger than ever. And it's sounds like he is having just a minor surgery.
Let's see what happens, but I think he should be fresh, healthy and rejuvenated by the time of the grass season.
Silent DQ?
Federer had no signs of knee injury whatsoever. No, for that you have to have played and lost without serious signs of injury before you announce it. Like Nadal usually does.
It wasn’t obvious to you he was injured? He barely moved in the second and third sets against Novak.
The end, appears, is very nearer..
39 bro. As good as he is he will be effing 39.This sucks.

This is what happens when you push yourself to limits. Same happened after Raonic loss in Wimbledon 16. And this time two five setter comebacks saving match points cost him almost half of the season.

It's you and all the other decent Fed fans I feel bad for right now.Just trying to be positive about something man. TBH I don't think it's possible for him to comeback and be worse than he was in Australia...

RobotererShould return with a metal knee at least.
Only thing for him though is, he will need to likely go three of them then to win Wimbledon.
I’m not saying his knee was the issue at the AO, I was merely responding to someone who doubted he was injured during the AO. Anyone watching his matches could clearly see he was hampered during the second week.I don't think it's the same issue at all but we'd have to ask him. It was obvious he was having a problem but I can't tie the two together.
And now the end is nearTake care my friend, we'll see you back on lush green lawns of Europe.

Groin injury.I don't think it's the same issue at all but we'd have to ask him. It was obvious he was having a problem but I can't tie the two together.

And so he face his final curtain!
"No, for that you have to have played and lost without serious signs of injury before you announce it" that’s your words. No serious signs, so Federer is silently banned. What are the "signs of knee injury"?
If the clay season started now with Dubai, IW, Miami coming after I think he would've played the last 3 tournaments. I assume he could be back on court within 2 months but doesn't give a flying F about clay at this point and who can blame him.Bad news is he will lose a lot of points and be set back for a while after returning. Good news is that he said it was minor surgery so maybe he won't be setback too much. Wish him a speedy recovery.
Meh. Some exceptional botting to make losses in those sets respectable then. Perhaps he should have pulled out, since the injury ended up sidelining him for several months. It wasn’t obvious to you he was injured? He barely moved in the second and third sets against Novak.
F*ck this **** man.
At least the timing is not bad. Who cares about the clay season anyway.
He'll be there for Wimbledon, Olympics, Cincy and USO. That's what matters the most. Get well soon, Roger!
