French commentator comedy (Serena's weight)

I'm in Quebec and i watch tennis mostly in french as i love the commentators (same broadcast as CBS).

They were showing Serena's infos on screen the other day and her weight was listed as 135 lbs. The lady, being polite, adds: "Well those numbers are probably old, Serena is obviously a little over 135". There is a silence and the guy, very seriously, goes: "At birth perhaps, Helene?". Then they start laughing it off, just like i did :D

I think Serena's in pretty decent shape, not her best ever, but the best in a long time, and think she looks fine, and even I don't think she's close to 135.

Listed weights for women and heights for men are often a sham.

What is hilarious is that even as heavy as she is, she still dominates the WTA. What could she have done with a little w2illpower?

ah heh heh...maybe thats what some of the others need to do is gain weight instead of trying to look like run way models....it's obvious they can't hit with her.

well insecure ppl will say anything to distract from their own incompetence, in the last 20 years, france and canada have combined for 4 majors, serena won that amount last 2 years.

the weights of female pro athletes are obviously made up.

according to the WTA site wozniacki weighs 128 pounds at nearly 6" tall. she would look like kate moss if she weighed that little at her height and her broad shoulders and thighs (not fat!).

also schiavone is supposed to weigh 141. she is only 5`5 and super skinny, no way she weighs more than woz.

and serenas weight is obviously a joke. she at least weighs 160 even if she is in shape.

I'll refrain from actual Serena weight predictions and will instead post this picture below to give you an idea of what I think she actually weighs. BTW wta website says 5' 9", 150 lbs. Sure...

Serena holds the record for being the heaviest player on the tour. I cannot think of any female player is heavier than her.

i think i remember seeing ivanovic listed as 150 yesterday. going by that serena must be somewhere around 175 easy.

Serena Williams maybe the heaviest female tennis player. Amazing how many slams this heavy weight has won.

Whether she is the heaviest or not who knows, but one thing is for sure, she is the strongest, maybe most explosive player on wta tour. Who cares about weight? its about Wins

By the way, the point of this thread is not to mock Serena's weight (who cares) but the listed weight of the WTA players.
