I think Isner could do quite well. I'm not saying there is any chance of him winning, the winner will either be Federer or Nadal, with Nadal the clear favourite. However, Isner has been playing well this week, and I could see him making the last 16/quarters, with a reasonable draw.

Cilic. He's reached Munich final.
With Nadal and Fed possibly at the 2 ends of the draw it's a pity nobody could pull a Martin Verkerk :)

Which is exactly why he won't make it past the third round - not enough stamina. Even more so with Isner. Is Ferrero even in this tournament? My bets are on Ferrer to make it to the final with Nadal.

who´s your dark horse for the French open 2010?
vote above and post your arguments.

the power hitter from latvia is the dark horse for RG.

he already has made QF

cilic no good results on clay. munich is a small tourney.

Verdasco wouldn't win, but he sure could have a run and make it to the Semi's or even final.

He's needs a very kind draw and play lights out during the period though.

yeah that´s true but IMO Verdasco and Ferrer aren´t dark horse because I don´t think it will surprise anybody if they reach the semifinals or quarterfinal..

I'd probably pick Gulbis and Youzhny before Clowndasco. We all know he won't even try to win against Nadal if they meet.

Has anybody said anything about delpo yet? I don't know any updates on his injury but he could come out fresh and ready to dominate like last year.

Gulbis by far. His performance against Nadal shows he has the capability of doing some serious damage.

Gulbis as a dark horse would be awesome! I'm not convinced if he's strong enough on the mental side to go deep into the draw, however....

if gulbis can keep his form i think he can get some big wins here. but juan monaco is also playing well as is ferrero so i would watch out for them

I hot Berdych could do it, but can he string together that many wins at a major is the question.

I'm a long suffering fan of Gulbis, so have to include him also...but yea, he's still got those attention span issues.

A good list though, Cilic is an idea also.

Gulbis.

I love watching him when he is on his game. If he clicks in Paris, he could do some damage, because he doesn't seem to be afraid of going toe-to-toe with anyone. And if those bombs are painting the lines, a lot of players will feel the heat.

Pete Sampras

gulbis should be interesting to watch. could totally crush someone one round then not hit a ball in in the next.

ferrero I think
After watching what Giraldo did to him in Rome I can't go with JCF - wish I could but he looked real old and slow. Of course Rome was set up pretty fast - he just didn't adapt.

Gulbis by far. His performance against Nadal shows he has the capability of doing some serious damage.
And Fed. Of course 3 out of 5 is a totally different ballgame. Fed handed him that match on a platter. But Gulbis definitely wasn't affect by Rafa's heavy FH topspin. Gulbis could definitely be this yr's Soderling.

I'll be interested in the odds on Verdasco. Might throw a few down on him.

Probably Berdych from that list. Or Monfils if he shows he's healthy at Madrid.

berdych hasnt been in good form lately. gulbis is the only one on that list that can go deep w/ good draw- the rest, forget it. monfils hasnt turned up to play all year
