You have been Thieminated mother******Thiemnated
Cos Federer is not playing.my head hurts whyy
It's understandable because how on earth can this mug who came out of nowhere challenge the 2nd best clay courter in the world, I'd be pissed too that I'm losing precious energy for this mugI don't like Thiems attitude on court, he is coming across as an entitled pr1ck, your opponent played a great shot, don't scream like a little girl
Lol, all you need is the gifYou have been Thieminated mother******
But by goodness that was close!
What a tiebreaker.
Thanks! If youre really in jackson hole Wy, thats a gorgeous spot! The forum acts up at times. We are all having the same issue. When you post something, do not refresh right away. Give it 30 seconds or so. It'll have been posted by the.
Thiem already choking hard. Can't believe him in first Slam final against big match player like Nadal (although I believe his level good enough to win whole thing).
This is the real final guys
Which is very sadYou all watching?
P.S. THIS Thiem is not beating Nadal.
How on earth could you miss that volley, Domi?
Even Suresh would have made that one![]()
He's a NextGen member, they are allowed to miss such volleys. And I thought Djokovic' forehand shank on that set point was the biggest lifeline Cecchi will be gifted here. Thiem took it to a whole new level with that volley. Good thing he recovered from that quickly enough.
Thiem is secretly training with Robin, he’s getting all the training to defeat the bull. You all watching?

if Thiem is playing the journeyman this close , what chance does he have against the God of Clay, RAFA ?Set Thiem
7-5 7-6
can Nadal beat this version of Thiem?
Save it for the win today and on Sunday LOLLol, all you need is the gif
What has he done before the FO?To be fair, Cecc is a true clay court specialist, he plays 98% of his matches on clay. He can rise to the big occasion.
He's no mug.
Boooooooooooooo!
Cechinatto isn’t faltering really. He’s playing slightly lower level than last round, but Thiem is playing very solidly
Dissapointing match thus far.
Thiem is secretly training with Robin, he’s getting all the training to defeat the bull.
Thieminator will peak on Sunday.
Played lots of clay [emoji14]What has he done before the FO?
Many things need to align - Thiem needs to get this done in straights, weather conditions have to be damp (forecast is for this at the moment) and Delpo needs to make Nadal work hard for the...
Yeah, Marko looks like gave upThis will be over soon. At least Nadal will face decent opponent in Final this time (if gets there).
Cecc tired, physically and mentally
why?
why?
Cecchinato is now playing like the guy who had never won a GS match before.
I feel sorry for Mario, if DJocovic didn't wear him out, the former would have won in straight sets. Just goes to show how strong Novaks influence is

Nadal will come as his brutal best in that match. Dominic will have to outplay him with Nadal playing at a high level. Nadal will make him dig deeper than he ever had to.Nadal' level fluctuating a lot. If Thiem gets a window of 90 minutes with Nadal playing passive, subpar Tennis - he has chance.
Thiem grunts too.In a few minutes loud nadals grunts will rent the air![]()

MP2 BPs for Cecchinato.

congrats on your first gs final! hopefully it won't be a total blow out on sunday but still got to give props for that consistency
Fresh blood in the final, this will be second time in the last three slams that we got a first time slam finalist.
Imagine...you enter your first slam final and face the toughest challenge in tennis...Nadal in a RG final. Dreams can turn to nightmares.![]()
Good job, Thiem, he doesn't strike me as a guy who would pull a Nishikori in the final. I expect a fight from him no matter what.
Didn't he just flop in the Madrid final against Zverev?Good job, Thiem, he doesn't strike me as a guy who would pull a Nishikori in the final. I expect a fight from him no matter what.
If Delpo plays better than at the USO, it's a already a tougher draw.Imagine, if he SOMEHOW reached the final against Nadal.
This could have arguably challenged Nadal's USO 2017 draw.
![]()
Well Marco had his chance on serve and blew it. Thiem got this in the bag now
He sucks off clay.Thiem has every bit of aspect in his game to be a double digit slam winner. He has all the shots. Hope this is a breakthrough for him.
Yeah, I hope this is not the last time we hear of Cecchinato.Cecchinato is someone I will keep my eye on in the future. Fun player.
What about the 2017 Madrid final against Nadal?Didn't he just flop in the Madrid final against Zverev?
It was never 1-5. It was 1-4 and Cecchinato saved several BP to avoid going down a double break. He came back from 1-5 against Novak... Let's see if there is something left in his heart![]()
LOL. I think you did nail this.I see Cecchinato hit his 1-handed backhand and he can only hit it crosscourt.......... Thiem should take advantage of that. Novak didn't, he needs on court coaching.

Oh we went so so ahead of ourselves here.Thiem has every bit of aspect in his game to be a double digit slam winner. He has all the shots. Hope this is a breakthrough for him.

And now we know the rest of the storyRR sure. I have followed the Cecc vs. Djoko thread and read it all. Posters talking on about how Djoco is out of form, is not anymore the Djoko of 3 years ago, etc etc.
The fact is that Djoko put up an amazing fight.
Why was he so pissed? Because he knows he played well, he knows he did it right. He is pissed because, him Djoko, playing as Djoko, couldn't come up to a solution to beat Marco! His brain is hot and angry because he cannot understand how he has lost a match even if displaying an excelent quality of tennis. He did what he should have done and the anger comes exactly from here. If he had been playing bad, he wouldn't be so pissed.
So your qestion(Hit through Ceccs defences where Djokovic couldn't?) bring up another one. What could Djoko have done more than what he did to win?
My answer is nothing. He played well. Cecc played better. And Djoko played well the important points (he missed a FH at 9-8 true, his only real mistake), but Cecc played better.
That is why Djoko is absolutely angry. He played a great match, and even so, he lost.
Thiem has every bit of aspect in his game to be a double digit slam winner. He has all the shots. Hope this is a breakthrough for him.
Congrats Meles...not sure who to root for in the final now...Thiem or Delpo...both are worthy of their first FO![]()
This is the first time Nadal is facing a player significantly younger than him in a slam final.
About time, as he is 32 already. Federer by 25 had already faced a player significantly younger than him in a slam final.
Cecchinato is someone I will keep my eye on in the future. Fun player.
3-4 grand slams max. He isn't close to Becker/Edberg/Wilander level.
Thiem is in the final!!!!!!!
@Meles
Its been a long road w lots of ups and down. The day has finally come!!
Intriguing to see how his game works on grass and hard courts. Think it will work quite well in the ultra-slow, high bouncing USO.
Congrats Meles...not sure who to root for in the final now...Thiem or Delpo...both are worthy of their first FO![]()
Really wanted him to win a slam. Just not meant to be.
