French Open Draw: Thiem and Rafa will not be on the same half.

#3 Thiem is supposed to be randomly assigned to either the top half (with #1 Rafa) or second half (with #2 Joker).

That is how it is supposed to happen.

But guaranteed that crooked organizers will see to it that Thiem and Joker are on same side of the draw, meet in the Semis and then sacrificed to Rafa in the Final.

There will be no random draw. The draw will be rigged according to Rafa's preferences.

For Nadal? Tsitsipas would be more troublesome if he serves well as on clay his BH far more reliable than other surfaces. Fogini if on a roll would panic Rafa if he was playing well enough to make SF. Medvedev also would be more of a problem for Nadal. Basically players whose BHs are secure. Thiem on clay over 5 sets has shown his BH crumbles. He is now slicing alot more but against Nadal that will buy him bagels and breadsticks. Match ups are a big deal and over 5 sets on clay younger fitter versions of Thiem have been blown away.

Rafa would far prefer Joker and Thiem wear each other out in the SF.
Then Rafa will take on the fatigued winner in the Final.

The other scenario is Rafa having to beat Thiem and Joker back to back. Rafa would still be hugely favored but obviously much more difficult than having to face only one of them.

That's pretty rich, considering that RG was the *only* major that didn't automatically put Djokovic in Federer's half for something like 4 or 5 years straight.

Not saying it won't happen (and there's a pretty big likelihood that it will, ie more than 50% if you consider the rule that 'the draw that makes the tournament the least interesting is the one that usually tends to happen'), but this "crooked organizers" thingy is pretty funny.

Why? Because he managed to barely win that wacky semi-final against Djokovic last year?

For all the talk of the 'prince of clay,' Novak had a better clay season last year. And if we're digging back further than just last year, he has a far stronger RG resume than Thiem does.
 
Wonder if tennis fans will want to see Rafa again beat up on someone in another FO final with hardly any suspense or whether they would prefer to see Thiem, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Tsitsipas etc. play each other and have a new champion. I think I would like to see two other players in the final.

These are the same organizers that are allowing 100,000 spectators to enter over a two week period, despite Paris being in the midst of a severe virus spike.

The organizers have no integrity and cannot be trusted.

Fans want to see Joker in the final trying to deny
Rafa the record tying #20. That is the most dramatic scenario.

On what basis yous are saying that organizers are crooked.. you mean to say, they do not follow any rules for the draw? if you are so confident then go ahead complain to an any open forums like itf/atp etc.

Or he will draw Thiem and then someone like Berrettini or Schwartzman makes it instead to the SF to meet Nadal. :unsure: :laughing:

Rafa-Djoker would get way bigger ratings. Not even close. We've seen Rafa vs Thiem for the last 3 years and none of their matches have been close. We haven't seen Djokovic vs Nadal since 2015. Also, Djoker has a better chance of beating Rafa IMO, even if it is still very slim.

Your comparison does not make sense at all; and even he had a better clay season, the matchup the matters the most on clay is at RG and that match was won by..........Thiem!

But the post I was responding to was saying "Wimbledon makes their own seedings." Well Wimbledon doesn't just use Wimbledon points, it considers all grass points.

If RG goes to a RG-only ranking system, then sure, put Domi above Novak.

Burden of proof is on the accuser to prove Novak is ONCE AGAIN a victim of a conspiracy.

(This kind of stuff makes it even harder for me to like the guy. Not that he or his fans care. Just saying)

Why bother rigging the draw when you can just rig the rankings?

If the ATP hadn't pandered to the old guys with a 22-month points system, Thiem would be #2 right now and this discussion would be moot.

With the pandemic on, the ATP made a decision that was not going to make everyone happy.

So Novak fans have gotten Thiem in Novak’s half in one out of 3 slams and you calling it rigged?
