First slam final nerves, single handed backhand v Rafa’s vicious lefty spin, huge PC court, so Rafa can be 4 metres behind the baseline to return any kick serves, Thiem’s limited plan B other than hit harder and being prone to double faultitis, when really under the cosh. Plus, Roger and Stan, who are both better players than Dom, lost in 5 of Rafa’s finals. Yep, I fail to see any upside for Dom, especially after his beating on PC in last year’s semi.

It's going to be heavy conditions and a bit rainy, which Nadal hates. This is a golden chance for Dominic Thiem. Federer and Djokovic rarely got Nadal in these type of conditions where it's 80% chance for rain, and the one time Djokovic did the match was suspended. Thiem is a strong 24 year old clay courter who knows how to beat Rafa on clay. Rafa always saves his best for the final but he hasn't looked good this tournament and the conditions don't favor him. What the hell...I'm calling the upset. Thiem to shock the world in 5 sets.[/QUOTE]

Then you woke up.:D The thing with the weather is, if it starts raining when Thiem is ahead or has the momentum, Nadal will start haranguing the umpire to stop the match, and that would be the end of Thiem and the match.

Thiem will go up a break in the first set, TTW will go crazy, then order will be restored and Nadal wins in 3.

Maybe Thiem takes a set. Maybe.

I love both of them and will be happy either way! But Rafa will win in 3 easy sets.

Nadal in 3 or 4 sets. That's how 83 of Nadal's 87 matches at the French Open have gone, including all 6 of his matches this year so far.

Much more than you do. Your posts have ZERO tennis insights and all you do is obsess over Clarky21.
I don't even bother reading what you write, given that is biased and has zero merit.
There are a lot of big Fed/Djoko fans who hate Nadal, but at least they know about tennis, so I like reading their opinions. Unlike your posts, where not even one of them has ever been worth my time.
I'm going to put you on ignore and this is the last post I ever reply from you. Have a nice day..

LOL, with zero insights I could have told you Nadal was gonna cakewalk over Delpo. With all of your super insights, ohhhh Nadal is in trouble, oooooh Nadal better watch out or this or that. Pathetic fool. You know squat. Completely clueless.

Fortunately Thiem have only one game plan.

Bash all the balls.

And that is coincidently the only thing that may work.

Der Dominic Thiem Methode is engineered to win the French. This is literally what Thiem has built himself for. And with his recent straight-set win over Rafa, you can bet Nadal isn't taking it lightly.

Well you all seem to have it neatly sewn up.I think Thiem has come through the far
tougher part of the draw far more impressively than Nadal. The match today was far more interesting than the boring useless display by Del Potro.
It would be great to see a young ,vital player winning for once.
So that's what I think.

Nadal in 3, he'll squeal his way to another non mandatory Slam like the blue collar workman that he is and then dissapear for the rest of the season citing some imaginary injury that never happens on clay.
Yeah he sure disappeared at the USO last year, unlike everyone else who showed up.

He had 4 5-set matches at the FO? I only remember the 2 against Djokovic and Isner, what are the others?

I want to hear this music played as Nadal walks up to get the trophy and hold it over his head...

Just seems right. And for the first time I will say Nadal has created an epic moment.

5 of his last 7 Slams are French Opens and it's not that skewed xD?

Look, I know taht you are one of the notorious Nadal-haters (or at least strong dislikers?), but if you take Djokovic for example, I believe 5 of his first 7 slams were on HC right? YOu will probably tell me now that they are not the same surfaces or something, but the stat remains.
Or are you faulting Nadal for being more dominant on clay over the compettiion than Djokovic and Fed were over the competition on HC and grass, respectively?

Federer's slam count apperas the most balanced, that's obvious.

Getting tired of Nadal and Federer fans trying to belittle the other players' achievements to make their favorite seem superior

11/17 at the FO, nobody who won a bunch of Slams has such skewed numbers.

It's still 17. He has absolutely savaged RG for over a decade, and each one of those counts. He knows his shot at the slam record, the only record that matters and the one that will define the GOAT, is by racking up as many RG as he can. They all count the same...

I want to hear this music played when Thiem lazers a OHBH down the line on championship point.

You mean you didn't feel moved to say it last year when he completed La Décima? ;)
