37 year old who hasn't played RG in 4 years has better odds of beating the world #1 than said #1 and holder of 3 majors has of beating the same guy he just thrashed at the last major final.

Makes sense to me!

He skipped clay in the last 2 years and the last time he played at RG was in 2015.Add to that that he is almost 38.
Djokovic won Wimbledon without previous preparing on grass, not playing whole year on it.
Point is, he didn't forget to play tennis, he will play clay tournaments prior to RG on clay, and if someone can win 2 Slams at 36-37, he is dangerous at 38 too.

This can happen if an in form Thiem is not in Federer's or Djokovic's draw. Only because Nadal gets injured, it doesn't garantee a Fedovic final, specially in the case of Federer.

Thiem is the absolute favorite over Federer in a potential RG match.

The last time Federer got past QF at RG was in 2012, so think about it.Clay is a different story for him at this stage of his career :)

I thought surface homogenization turned all courts into clay like. Guess I was misinformed. :cautious:

Djokovic vs Federer on clay doesnt always become a marathon war like what Nadal always creates. Its more a tactical chess battle. I could see it going both ways...

Thiem tends to be inconsistent so, even if he should be the favorite, he is not a safe bet like Nadal.

If somehow that. let's say, match happened I wonder who would smash more racquets. Djokovic or Federer 8-B?
