French Open Prediction League! (Fifth in Series) First of the Grandslam editions!

No problem with him competing in Queens and Wimbledon as long as he keeps his outbursts to a low key.

I agree, there's a masters event in the build up to every Grandslam baring Wimbledon, the ATP need to look in to it.

For me there should be at least 1 Grass masters.

wow. We all got dominated today. haha

I guess this was what they call "moving day" in golf. Everybody's in top 10 contention right now. 2 pt day's not good for me. At least I still have a shot.

Tsonga/DelPot-Tsonga in 4
Robredo/Kohlschreiber-Kohlschreiber in 4
Roddick/Monfils-Monfils in 5
Federer/Haas-Federer in 3

I still say do Queens, tho I'm ok w/ both.

Wow, after the Djoker and Nadal matches, how many winner/ru predictions were messed up?

PS:I finally got the highest score of the day! lolz!

the last two days have just been...

><

Federer in 3 [surely he has to win in straights again at some point]
Monfils in 4 [think LaMonf+crowd = bye bye Roddick]
DelPo in 4 [Allez Jo...head says DelPo]
Robredo in 4 [Kohli to take the first]

Tsonga/DelPot-Tsonga in 4
Robredo/Kohlschreiber-Kohlschreiber in 4
Roddick/Monfils-Roddick in 5
Federer/Haas-Federer in 4

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD...

...AS WE KNOW IT

There isn't a deep enough shade of blue to express myself, but the show must go on...

What a trainwreck of a day!!!
This is like the day the stock market crashed!!!
(IOW, i'm in a deep depression...............)

soderling and gonzalez both played "kinda out of their minds" today, and they could meet if they continue in like manner, robin beating davy and fena beating andy ... wow this is getting tougher to predict!

It's a new dawn, It's a new day, It's a new life

And I'm feeling good...

Shades of purple because it was the happiest color I could think of at the moment. (Sorry for all the sentimental tripe for the last few days...)

theduh, you predict the number of sets and a range of games (within 5) e.g 22-27 games, 30-35 games etc, if the result falls within your game range you get the points

you don't have to try get the exact score =p

Yeah I was thinking of that but gone the other direction instead... Thanks Shadows!

Davydenko in 3 (27-32)
Gonzo in 4 (38-43)

prediction failure, ignore unless we use a range of 6, if 5, check next page ><

I don't know if I should point out that everyone has given a range of six. Since everyone has, I guess we'll add one to my predictions.

Hard this round, in-form Murray meeting in-form Gonzalez. Davydenko-Soderling will only be complicated if Soderling plays like he did vs Nadal though Davy's game is better suited for that style.

Gonzalez in 5 (44-48) (49 if we do it to 6)
Davydenko in 4 (37-41) (36 if we do it to 6)

Murray VS Gonzalez - Gonzalez in 4, games 39-44
Soderling VS Davydenko - Davy in 3, games 28-33

This is range of 6. If it is range of 5, the maximum games would be 43 and 32 respectively.

Since TM has posted his predictions within a range of six, I've done mine as such too.

Fedtastic, I would like to point out that in one match your range is 41-48, which is 8 games.

wouldnt you preffer the plus minus system?
selecting a number of games, 40, with a range of two or three games for margin of error

40 +- 3
so you win at 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43...

or 40 +-2

wich is five games 38, 39, 40, 41, 42

The game done changed...

It's my one year Talk Tennis anniversary today!

Federer in 3 (28-32)
Robredo in 5 (48-52)

congrats seffina on the one year anniversary, although I'm confused as to how I got 2 points. I don't think I got anything right today.

The way I understood the games predictions is that you get points for the correct range no matter the winner. You picked the wrong winner in the Davy match, but the correct amount of games it would last. If my understanding of how we're scoring the games prediction is incorrect, I'll recalculate the scores and post accordingly.
