From Indoors to Outdoors

I grew up in northern NH and did most of my practicing indoors. Every year when high school season moved outdoors i always play worse. Now im down in south Carolina where everything is outdoors, I always just accepted that I will be a much better indoor player than outdoor, but thats not good enough for me anymore. Do you have any suggestions on making the switch? To me I feel like I move better, see better and just feel way better indoors.
Thanks

pretend you're indoors....

there is no real difference between indoors and outdoors except a little sun and wind. you can play just as well with either, its all in your head and you're psyching yourself out.

if it's a surface issue, though, just work on your game. i go from rubber to outdoor hardcourt every year in the move from indoors to outdoors, and having to adjust to it makes me a better player is anything

YonexDude is not far from the truth. However, I would change his wording from "it is all in your head" to "it is all in your senses."

It really is just an adjustment in all the things that take place going from indoors to outdoors. Read on...
