I found this racquet in a tennis shop in California. The owner said he picked it up from a leading area collegiate player.

I knew little about the racquet when I bought it other than it was a Wilson because of the PWS, Wilson butt cap and hologram.

    It is totally black.

I took it to my stringer he thought it was a Hyper Pro Staff 6.1.

I ordered a new Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 grommet and it fit. I also installed a new Wilson Cushion-Aire grip. It is also freshly strung with Tecnifibre E-Matrix 17 at 62 lbs.

When playing with the racquet it felt heavier than other Pro Staffs I’ve used. My stringer weighed it and it comes in at 12.6 oz. He thinks it might be a custom prototype frame made specifically for the college player.

The butt cap says 4 3/8. I thought it felt slightly bigger than that. I measured the grip and it comes in right at 4 ½.

The racquet swings a tad too heavy for me, so I’m offering it for sale for $50.

    Paypal preferred.

I have great references from previous racquets I’ve sold on the site.

    Weight and Balance

Is the 12.6 after being grip and strung or before?

    What is the balance?

Do you have more pictures showing wear?

    Thanks

I think the HPS and classic grommets are the same, so, being heavier, it may be a 6.1 classic...

It could be a 6.1 Classic, but it has somewhat of an underlying braided pattern more like the Hyper 6.1.

Would weigh 12.9 oz strung if it were a PS Classic
