Game: Make a new word from the previous word's last letters

Seems to me that the play should have been off “Sasaki” rather than “Peeps” since the game rules do not really allow for phrases. That is, “Sasaki” would be permitted as a response to “Masasa” but the phrase “Sasaki and Peeps” is not really a valid response — so only “Sasaki” should be considered.

Note that the OP rules do not dictate that we must make a play off the last word posted. We can go back to any previous word played. This occurred a few times already in this thread.

Since we’ve encountered an invalid play and, as a result, a discontinuity, it would be valid to jump back and make another play off of “Msasa” or possibly even “Sasaki”. Or any word prior to “Msasa” for that matter.
