Can't say that for Breaking Bad. That is why BB is so much superior.

People do say that early Breaking Bad is slow. I for one couldn't care less. I don't need the episode to be non stop action to enjoy it.

Personally one of my favorite episodes of BB was in season 1. The one in the basement

I had never heard of BB until it hit Netflix  I know... Too busy with Life .... Studies, Work, Business - all at the same time - TV serials were the last priority in life. I had Netflix, just for the movies.
When I did get a Break, and I clicked on BB on netflix, I binge watched all the seasons and episodes without a break.
Never done that with any other TV serial before or after.

That is nuts !!! Have some self control man. You should have savored it .. by only watching every full season every 10 days.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Season 7 is excellent after the first 2 shows. Very good stuff.

The only bad parts of Game of Thrones would be all the many pointless hours of Danny in the early seasons. It was utter torture. Plus season 5 was beyond annoying with Arya at the stupid temple and the Sand Snakes were the worst creation in the show.
God I hate Season 5 except for the big Zombie battle

Show has so many great characters its hard to pick one. There are literally over 50 to 75
And every time you think a character cannot be more evil you are proven wrong because another character is far worse.

For those that say season 1 was slow...sure skip it and watch season 2. I would though go back and watch season 1 if your interests are caught by the episodes in season 2 through 7. It will help tie in some of the stories.

I have to watch each episode at least twice. Gives me a chance to pick up on the missed parts because of this...or that...

I would say Season 3-4 AND 6 WERE SUPERB. SEason 7 is off to a superb start and may be the best yet.

Season 3-4 is from the great Third Book that I forgot already.
Season 6 just killed it too

Guess what? After I was done with BB, I came to know that even Sir Anthony Hopkins binge watched BB all seasons in 2 weeks. It is THAT good.

Euron's entrance was superb. Really changed my perception of him

Saw it in another topic, seems very GoT to me! Murray and Theon Greyjoy could be twins. :p

If I'm being critical I've found
Euron a bit too comedic.
Yes he kills brutally but it's all a bit too piratey ahhh, ahhh, ahhh. He'd have been more at home in Black Adder as some beard or other..
Odd how he and his little band of men managed to build so many ships so quickly. Doesn't he know you have to season timbre before you can make a Boaty Mcboatface or Shippy Mcshipface out of it?
I suppose timelines are a bit elastic in a fantasy.
How he found his niece and nephew is covered here

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.va...ra-sand-snakes-iron-fleet-attack-is-yara-dead

You'd have thought a detachment of at least one dragon to oversee the fleet and set fire to any attackers would have been prudent (strategy and ploy used in Slavers bay), but I guess dragons don't take practical military orders so well :)
All commanders get over confident at times. Wouldn't some little birds have known about Euron's fleet and have tweeted?

Still it's a welcome addition to my weekly entertainment at the moment.
Oooh-ahhhh, ahhhhh

New Season off to a VERY bad start. Map in episode one totally not needed. They show a MAP EVERY OPENING. Seems like they're trying to spoonfeed all the noobs watching the series. And yes Euron is too one dimensional and doesn't have the slow burn of Joffrey or Ramsey. Plus no one cares about the sand snakes anyway (KarTrashians)

Oh come on.. You can easily build 1,000 massive ships like that with Medieval Technology in only a few weeks. Very easy to do.

Ok maybe 1-2 is possible

I disagree and so far the new season is great. I enjoy the drama and build up. The characters are coming closer and closer together and the game is coming to a close.
You wont have to worry about the disaster of the Sand Snakes ever again !! The biggest flaw in the entire show.

You cannot direct a dragon the way you do with a Tomahawk missile. :)

The same way USA could not see Japanese fleet coming to attack Pearl Harbor.

But yes, I am still intrigued how Euron was able to find Yara's fleet and no one in Yara's ships was able to see the attackers arriving.

Episode 4 was absolutely epic, like a cross between Gladiator and Apocalypse Now.

Season 7 is turning out to be the strongest season so far and much better with each episode over 1 hour in length.

Haven't watched it yet, I'm going to do it ASAP! Great season so far.

I've been watching past seasons again. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 completed, 4 is almost done. It's good to see everything from a new perspective.

I'm enjoying Season 7 as a TV show. Certainly there's a lot of payoff.

Still, I can't help but feel that there is less depth to it, and the quality of the dialogue has suffered, since they don't have the rich story of the books to draw on.

And, as mentioned, lots of story devices that don't really bear too close examination.

But it's not as though there was much else they could do when they overtook the books. The show must go on after all, and they're doing a good job with it IMO.

I like season 7 a lot so far each episode has been better than the last, I'll have to see how it'll shape up to the best seasons, but it's already better than season 5. The writing has been much better this season so far, hope it continues.
S4>S3>S2>S1>S6>S5
S7???

Not that epic, this season trying too hard, too many plot holes. How in the world did the whole dothraki army AND tyrion get to jamie that fast. Impossible. Plus after first shot missed braun would be instantly burned.

Plus, super lame to have obvious night king hieroglyphics with blue eyes.

They're trying too hard too fast. Season 6 was epic be cause it slow burned all the way up to battle of the bastards and then light of the seven.

So while Dragon battle looked amazing, this season isn't that great so far...hope it gets better.

cont...

after further thoughts, this season so far has NO WEIGHT. Everyone KNEW that Jamie, Dany and all the main characters would survive. Not invested at all in the
fight.

Plus to have Tyrion WATCH JAMIE through the smoke just as he's charging Dani is just lazy writing.

EPisode grade: C+ (compared to almost all A/A+ last season)

Cancel your plans, gets the drinks in, close the curtains, turn off the lights and fire up the biggest TV screen you can find because Season 7, Episode 4 is ABSOLUTELY EPIC....

Man, you were right, episode 4 is EPIC!

I didn't like the video quality I got yesterday, waited to watch this evening. Kind of warm in the beginning, but started getting better when the Stark kids were reunited. Really cool!

Then I got a déjà vu when Daenerys ask Jon the same question he asked Mance Ryder when Mance was about to be executed: "Isn't their survival more important than your pride?". Jon didn't seem to recall, but Wow! I just watched again this season 5 episode yesterday!

When Jaime's troops were in the open field after Dany's talk about the dragons, I saw it coming. The dragons give the battles a new perspective!

I'm wondering how Jaime and Tyrion will behave in opposite sides. Will Jaime be captured?

I see a long week ahead!

I thought those battle scenes were the best yet out of all 7 seasons, right up there with the Battle of Blackwater. Reminded me alot of the action scenes in Gladiator and Apocalypse Now. Smoke, fire, burning bodies, loads of people charging around....must have taken alot of work for the show to produce, but it was brilliant.

Whatever the case, Littlefinger knows that he's screwed. He's surrounded by an omniscient psychic who knows he betrayed Ned, a psychotic girl who is a deadly assassin, a skeptical Sansa who he gave away to Ramsay Bolton, and the King in the North who is a good fighter in his own right

Another one that comes to mind is Battle of Bastards when John Snow (with a little help from Baelish) defeats Ramsey. I'm gonna watch it again soon. Ramsey Bolton is one of the most hated characters ever.

TV is amazing, isn't it? People are born and die, get rich and poor, fall in love and marry in a couple of minutes. I guess most people would be bored to watch any story in real time. 24 was an exception, but even then they used some shortcuts.
