I'd like to know if there's any way to erase GoT completely from my memory.
I think the lesson we learn from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is that that's not a solution. Just move on, learn and grow.

And wait for The Winds of Winter.

the dragons could **** from the clouds and destroy the ships with little "meteorites" also. no need to use fire :D

lol at this episode. why in the earth?

otherwise i almost dont know of a big show that could keep it up. breaking bad was cheesy, dexter too, lets not speak about prison break or the ****ty lost. OZ was good..
even Vikings beat GoT. this is why i like miniseries more:) like MANIAC - perfect.

Final season seems rushed. The overall plot direction has been fine, but getting there has been forced and awkward. Wish episode 1 and 2 were combined. Make it clear in episode 3 in the battle that there were still plenty of troops alive (maybe they were holding off a horde of undead but the white walkers burst through a weak point to get at Bran). The way episode 3 was filmed it looked like everyone but a few main characters died. Yet every episode afterwards there are more and more Unsullied and Dothraki. They must multiple like tribbles.

Cersei was diluted--were most of here scenes just standing and looking menacing but without purpose.

How can Jamie climb all those stairs to find Cersei? Didn't he just get eviscerated?

I'm fine Dany went mad, but I wish we had more development to it over the last few episodes instead of hints.

Yeah. She lost Viserion, Jorrah, Jon Snow (As in she can't have him and he has legitimate claim), Missandei, A lot of her soldier but we didn't get scene or build up where she depressed other than she won't eat and beautiful depiction by Emilia.

Well they really haven't watched their own show. Danaerys already has gone through too many hardships to actually snap now. Why didn't she grow mad before ? From being ra ped , emotionally tortured , losing her love etc she had way too many opportunities to break into madness. Now she snaps because she cares about losing a close friend ? That too during a war that she was bound to win and at that point already had? Daenarys was so strong willed that she survived losing her husband and utter hopelessness with her Dothraki followers.

Character assassination that's all. I always predicted her going mad. But they didn't build it one bit.

Yeay,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, One thing is for sure, Dragon will live thru the entire season. Now with all the scorpion bows taken out, there is nothing that can threaten Dragon. Denaris may die but at least Dragon will live for sure.... That is what I wanted

Yeah. Mainly I think she didn't feel like people want her on the throne. Different case when she's over east with all the slaves she freed plus the pressure of Jon Snow.

We saw her completely out of place in North. But there is no character depth. Same like Tilda Swinton and Jamie, they get together and break up on one episode lol.

So much time spent showing Arya cheating death over and over again.

Which character would you be ???

totally the Night King

Don’t like humanity

If one can go 3 for 3 ... why the dragon next to the queen, and not the dragon under the queen?

How did Euron dragon target practice?

How did all the those giant crossbows and arrows have Henry Ford assembly plant precision? Did they make them at the sword factory? How many arrows allotted per ship? Was there ever backorders? What did they use to mount the giant crossbow to the ship deck ... screws?

Was the elastic bands used to launch the giant arrows natural gut or poly? How often did they need to be restrung?

Why would a arrow blow up a ship like a bomb. Same question for Dragon fire breath ... I get the setting **** on fire ... but why the blowing up.

With all that fancy Medieval tech ... no one ever thought about Dragon saddles? Is Dragon bareback the only thing the Dragons accept?

Do Dragons mate in the air like hummingbirds? Show me that, and I "might" forgive season 8.

GoT season 8 need to be at least 10 eps, preferably there would be another season to make sure all the plot threads got their due.

My main gripe is the hasty end to Cersai and the 180 on Jaime's character development.

Can someone please confirm what happens in the last episode just so I can be done with this sh%t?

From the Reddit sub / post that got episode 4/5 correct:

People have had very strong reactions to how the season likely ends. Last chance...
Jon, Davos and Tyrion are walking through the aftermath of Kings Landing. Tyrion walks through what's left of the castle and sees Jaime's hand so he starts to uncover the rubble and he confirms both Cersei and Jaime are dead. They find Grey Worm and his men they have Lannister Soldiers trapped and they're about to kill them. Jon trys to tells Grey Worm to stop. Grey Worm tells Jon that its the queens orders. Jon and Tyrion are upset. At some point Dany is walking down stairs and Jon sees her and the dragon is behind her and it looks like she has giant dragon wings. Then they cut to Dany giving a speech pretty much saying how she freed the people from Kings Landing and the new goal is freeing the rest of the world. Dany turns to Tyrion and tells him he committed treason. Tyrion tells her that she killed thousands of innocent people and he takes off the hands pin and throws it. Dany sends him to prison.

Tyrion tries to convince Jon to turn on Dany. His family will never be safe because it threatens Dany's legitimacy.
He's also convinced by Tyrion that his family will never be safe because he presents a threat to her rule. Jon goes to see her and she sitting on the Iron throne alone and John tells her that she needs to stop this madness and that Grey Worm killed the Lannisters army from the previous scene. Dany tells Jon that she's doing it for the people. Jon pretends to understand her. When her guard is down he stabs her with his dagger. Drogon comes and is standing over her body and he burns or melts the Iron throne and carries her away with his feet.

Grey Worm has Tyrion and Jon as his prisoners. The council is (led by Sansa) tells Grey Worm to release Jon back to them but he refuses. Tyrion is in front of the council as a prisoner of Grey Worm he isn't making decision he is content with being a prisoner he makes suggestions only. (apparently been in prison for weeks) That's when Tyrion says that the new King or Queen should decide what happens to Jon. Sam suggest for a democratic vote for the new king. Tyrion calls that idea stupid. The council votes and decide Bran should be the King. Bran picks Tyrion as his hand. Tyrion tells Jon that his punishment is going back to the Wall and join the Nights Watch. (Tirion said Greyworm wanted him dead and Sansa wanted him back home so nobody is getting what they want, it's a fair compromise.) Grey Worm accepts Jons punishment. He doesn't bend the knee leaves with his troops and Dothraki on ships to go free Slave cities. They show Tyrion leading the council. Jon says goodbye to Sansa and Arya. Arya tells them she isn't going back home. She's going to explore whatever is west of Westeros because that's where no one has been. The final scene is a Closing montage. You see Arya on a ship, Sansa ruling Winterfell and Jon, Ghost, Tormund, and a bunch of Wildlings leaving the Wall and heading north

Council Members: Samwell Tarly the Grand Maester, Davos Seaworth Master of ships, Bronn Master of Coin and High Garden, Brienne (not sure) Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Yara Greyjoy Lord of Iron Islands, Robin Arryn Lord of Kingdom of the Mountain and the Vale, Gendry Baratheon Lord of Storm's End, Yohn Royce Lord of Runestone, Hound doesn't get mentioned., Podrick is wheeling around Bran and he protects him. Ellaria Sand doesn't get mentioned. Sam mentions that they seen Drogon in some location but aren't sure. Bran just says, "ill look for him" They don't have a Master of Laws and Whisperers. Tyrion is looking for the right people to fill those spots.

  • Alternate Ending: (less likely) !Tyrion's Trial: (Friki is the only one advocating this) Tyrion's trial in the dragonpit is a major scene and has no Jon, Dany, or dragons. Sir Davos is present not wearing the Hand of the King pin (he wasn't in 8x04 either) along with all 3 stark children. Samwell Tarly, Brienne, Robyn Aryn, Grey Worm, an unknown man wearing golden clothes (likely Dornish), and another unidentified man (an older short bearded one dressed in green) will be there as well. Bran will flash back to season 1 where Tyrion Lannister told Catelyn Stark, "I never bet against my family". Tyrion is filled with anger and resentment against the people of Kings Landing because he saved them against Stannis and they still turned on him. Thinks people of King's Landing deserved it. He saved them and were ungrateful (trial of Joffrey's murder) Will fall to his knees in the middle of the speech dragged down by the weight of his actions. His death was filmed in studio so not sure how he dies.
  • Combined Endings: Both Endings Combined: King's Council seems most likely as multiple scenes can be cheaply shot however few will have graphic effects or sound added. Tyrion will dive a speech, is spared, and joins the King's Council

Yeah to introduce Santa this late in the series is horrible writing.

So Greyworm is the ultimate Game of Thrones bad guy. That definitely subverted some of my expectations lawl.

I hope season 8 is a one big bloopers compilation accidentaly leaked early week after week.
I'm kinda sad for all the actors and people in production involved. They've all busted their asses and this sh*tshow is how it ends.

Feel like a christian who moments before he dies starts believing God isn't real.

Still better writing than GoT though.

Will 100% watch most of the episode on double the speed

Now I'm hoping Supernatural can at least score a 6/10 ending in S15.

Oh yes. I’m actually more disappointed for the actors than for myself. I’ve given up on this show a long time ago and don’t expect much of anything anymore. But the actors got completely screwed by D and D. They were invested in these characters for so long and the legacy they were trying to leave behind is ruined. If you watch the recent interviews, they openly admitted to dislike the writing (Varys, Euron, Dany) and from how they talked about it, they proved to understand their characters far better than D and D.

And the GoT videos on youtube about the production of the episodes makes me equally sad. So many talented people working on the sets and the effects, doing a perfect job, and every bit of that effort got ruined by writing, which is sadly the major aspect of the show.

I think it's every single actor basically.

There's footage of yeeaaars ago when D&D go like "Sam isn't a PoV in the books right, nah Sam isn't. He is? naw he isn't" And you can just see Kit Harington die on the inside.
