Hi guys I know lots of you are home stringers and I was wondering if lots of you used the gamma frequent stringer points?
i would if gamma offered good strings at competitive prices. but if they did that, their margins would be lower and they probably wouldn't be able to offer the frequent stringer points program.

A few years ago, my wholesaler always had good deals on Gamma string. I got a few small items through the program. They treat the free order just like a paid one and ship the items right out.

Be aware, for very small orders the shipping cost for the empty packages can be several dollars. You can't just send in the corner of the packs, you must send the whole package. If your sting packs are from low end sting, such as synthetic gut, you will have a small box full of empty packs to get an inexpensive item. Still a good deal though, as they pay the shipping cost for your order.
The first time I sent them in I sent the whole thing but I talked to them later and they said it was ok to just send in the corner with the point value on it.

Rufus you want to trade them for some string? I might be willing to work something out. I have a ton of gamma string.

I traded in my points 5 years ago for a new stringer. It was a pain cutting the points out, an sorting them to send, but in the long run it was worth it!

Cut them out when you string. Use old coffee containers with slots cut in the lids (one for 10s and one for 3s, 6s, & 12s.) When you cut out the points drop them in the appropriate container. If you use reels drop them in either container.

I do use & stock some Gamma String and have been saving up the points. Wouldd prefer to be able to use the points towards Gamma Stringm, or other brands, to be able to try out more of their product but when I inquired about this received a somewhat short response something about that not being the purpose for the program.

Too bad, would probably in the end run allow them to sell more string. Don't really have that many points but save them anyway.

Gamma string programs are the best I got tons of freebies.
I got 2 machines, socks, t shirts, swiss army watches, tennis balls, Ball hoppers, ball carts and bestbuy giftcards.

Right now I'm working on getting another machine. I should have enough by next summer.

Is Gamma still participating in this?....and to make sure you just cut the corner with the points or send the whole string package?

I sent in the full string packages just to be on the safe side. Got a 5003 (came quickly) which is sitting in a closet unopened. Oh, and this is like one year ago. Current list of prizes is not very appealing except for the machines.

The first time I sent in the whole pack then I started just cutting off the corners. I used them for cases of balls which they don’t offer any more. Don’t forget the rings from the center of reels either. I doubt I’ll ever collect enough for a machine so I use them for give always for coaches I string for and some customers usually just cans of balls.

One thing that had me concerned when I sent in my string packages was something on Gamma's form that called for an "active account number". I called and was reassured that it wasn't necessary and apparently it isn't. Not sure why they made a point of it on the form.

I didn't know this was a thing. I'm going to have to start keeping my packs. I won't get the the machine level in 20 years but I'll take a cup or hopper.

i gave up on this program, i collected for a few years and got almost nothing for it, not worth it for me
as a home stringer, it would take you soooooo long to gather enough points to get something worth while

as a business stringer however, it does make sense to use the program and save enough for a machine

btw, if you plan to collect points: reels count; only the corners of the points are needed, not the whole pack
