Firstly, I have not tried Volkl.

But I have Gamma on both my rackets. Its a nice leather to wrap, feel very good quality. I would say its average weight for a leather grip, but check out ChicagoJacks thread for those details. And it doesnt feel stiff. Firm, as leather is supposed to be, but not stiff.

The Gamma one does, but it is not in big gold writing like some. It is a small Gamma logo.
An update on this post.....

I have just received a couple of new Gamma leather grips and they have changed their branding. They used to have a small oval embossed logo in the leather, with no colour in it. However, they now have huge black print with GAMMA written across it.

I was very disappointed. Having a leather grip that almost looked unbranded was nice, but this new version looks ugly.

I'm back with Dunlop Tour leather anyway now.

Volkl one also has logo on it. It weight heavier than most, and feel thicker as well. It feels like half a size up when compare to TW private label leather grip.

I always found the Gamma to be a little thin and flimsy feeling and this is coming from someone that prefers the thinner 1.3 TW leather grip. Out of the Gamma and the Volkl I would say Volkl hands down.

Volkl leather is far superior: Much heavier, thicker, supple, and more pronounced bevel feel. On par with Balmforth Fairway IMO, for 1/3 the price. I actually prefer the Volkl black leather (if you can even find it) because its a bit softer and more supple. Boris Becker leather is close to Volkl.

Totally agree. I've bought black Volkl from TW before and now am using Volkl brown or BB black depending on racquet colorway :)

Compared to which TW private label leather grip, the 1.3mm or 1.5mm thickness? Thanks.

Really? I'm a bit confused how it could be both "thicker" AND have "more pronounced bevel feel"?

Care to elaborate?

Thanks. :)

TW 1.50 mm, Volkl, and Becker are pretty close in terms of thickness. Most would say that Gamma is thinner, but nobody has thickness digits for Gamma as far as I know. If you do have it, I'm happy to add to the grips specs thread list that is linked below.

The Volkl black is without a doubt heavier and thicker than the Gamma. I've tried both. The Volkl black seems to stretch and wrap smoothly over the handle pallet better than the Gamma, thus giving it a slightly more pronounced bevel feel, IMO. The Volkl brown and Gamma don't wrap quite as well because it seems to be a bit more "dried out." However, they are both good products. It comes down to personal preference and the feeling in the hand. Don't know if that completely answers your query....
