Gauges convention for a kevlar/poly hybrid?

I'm considering diving into kevlar with a reel of Pro's Pro Pure Aramid 1.10. One of the cross strings I want to use is Pro's Pro Plus Power 1.23. Is the aramid too thin of a main string for that thick of a cross? I'm having great success with the aramid 1.10/Black Force 1.14 in two of my racquets. A big plus for this string is that it will cut down on the string bed's weight and give the racquet a more HL balance.

The Kevlar/aramid will still dent the poly cross and last longer than it too. If you hit with spin, you may want to string the cross at least 5# less than the aramid. If you hit flat, use the same tension for both.

My new favorite hybrid is ashaway kevlar 16 mains crossed with babolat pro xtreme 17.

I prestretch both strings, and the stringbed plays great with no dropoff in performance for months. The mains still snap back nicely and stay straight, and the xtreme is much more dent resistant than other poly.

I'm going to save you some money pro pro aramid is not very durable in the mains. I used the 18g and it broke faster than poly in a spin frame. Like 1.5 sets or less. Ashaway Kevlar will last me 30 sets and by then I've stopped counting.

Thank you for the reply. I'll wait and see how durable it is for me before getting the reel. I use tight string patterns and I don't break strings, not even multis.
