Gear trend

Some interesting bits from the latest gear article from tennis.com:

http://www.tennis.com/gear/2018/09/us/76920/

Racquet:
Promising updates to existing lines and a few new releases—one major manufacturer is heralding a game-changer next spring—will hit shops in the coming months. But, all in all, there wasn’t a great deal of buzz on the racquet front.
Anyone wants to speculate who? Pure Aero 2019 or Prince Twist Power / Textreme Twaron?

Shoes:
In fact, in a sign of the times, one company is going to retire a venerable stability shoe—but perhaps only temporarily—in favor of a brand-new model that features a wider base and lower to the ground profile that benefits side-to-side movement. Everyone I spoke with outside the company with this knowledge was thoroughly surprised by the decision.
Barricade? Gel-Resolution??

Strings:
And producing strings in a multitude of color options—rainbow versions, as well—seems more important than ever.
Finally! Top-to-racquet-to-string-to-toes matching outfit!

Tennis.com is without a doubt the worst major tennis publication ever. Their gear "articles" and "reviews" are just repeats of what manufacturers tell them.

What click bait crap. "one company" (wow huge help), "promising updates to an existing line" (what ANY racket manufacturer will tell you about next years rackets), "one manufacturer is heralding a game changer" (again what every racket manufacturer will say about a new racket. Head HERALDED!!!! the MXG...)

I thought the same thing yesterday. It was the longest article that said absolutely nothing specific.

FWIW, the shoe being mentioned is the Barricade. Replaced by the SoleCourt Boost in the Spring 19 lineup
