Outside his serve, he isn´t looking good. I doubt this tournament will help him to improve his game. I think more practice sessions and less matches is what he needs before Wimbledon.
 
Good match for Federer on his serve.He struggled a lot on the returning games and played good at the end of the sets
 
Malakas- thanks for posting those. As for Federer, I wonder what the main cause has been, for his recent decline in standard. Mono? Age? Pressure? I tend to think a combo of all three.

yeah,I agree.It's likely a combination of all though all of them alone could bring down and have many good players.I hope he snaps out of it soon.

marcos already compared tennis to chess, so maybe today the comparison will be more valid than for most matches : it will be interesting to see him play santorov !

indeed very nice match.Too bad nobody's watching!!:???: Fab with the early break but Baggy managed to level it at 3-3 and then took his turn to break for 5-3 but got broken while serving for the set.

Made Lundgren happy when finally won first set 6-4.It's so sad watching two of your favourites play each other.:(

I don't know,if she is then she is a far cry from that girlfriend he was with during the AO 2 years ago(I think she was daughter of his coach at time).

yes she was his daughter.But oh why are you saying this?They surely suit each other better.though clearly as a baggy fangirl and looking for the best interest of my favourite I would hate to see him lose his concetration during this importanta season of the year with girlfriend distractions and such!:-| :)

He actually had his best results while he was with her didn't he? I also hope to see Bagdathis play great again,one my favourite players on tour and the one with the best personality on tour no doubt,always fun to watch.

baghdatis - federer match. looks interesting but not sure if it will be such a quality match. federer didn't look too good today against a 32 year old qualifier, a world #324, a challenger circuit player.
and baghy hasn't played atp matches much for a while.

what a great ending to Vacek's underwhelming career, being able to play Federer on grass, and be part of his streak, and a not too shabby scoreline as well.

Vacek has beaten Karlovic and Ivanisevic at Queens.
Plus he beat Ancic at Wimbledon in the match after Ancic handed Federer his last defeat on grass.

OMG what a difference from that match-like night and day. Baggy saved 3 bps only tobe broken in the end.He tries to put pressure on Federer from early on.Let's see what Lundgren has taught him.
 
Federer brining his A game so far-whoever thinks he's done and no chance for Wimbledon must watch this one.

Markos really serving well-haven't seen him serving that well for veryy long.

Yeah,nice tennis from Marcos as well.This match shows that those who think Fed is done and isn't a favourite for Wimbledon are full of it but they're free to continue their wishfull thinking if they want.
 
Is Marcos playing at his best level or his come-back level? How's Fed doing.. He's saving quite a few bp's now, so doesn't look too great.
 
It was a very entertaining match IMO,nice to see Bagdathis play again.Fed seems in good form on grass before Wimbledon.
