Hi guys

Can anyone give me some help or advice...I am a former college player from a DIII school, USPTA Certified now, and for the past 2 seasons I have been an unpaid assistant coach at my DIII alma mater...unfortunately i have been trying to find a paid college coaching job (from head, to assistant, to grad assistant) any where in the country or even a pro teaching job anywhere and have been coming up empty...I have seen openings, apply online then don't even get responses...Ive been getting very frustrated...i cant even seem to get any responses when I apply....Im from northeastern ohio and like i said willing to move anywhere...my passion is in the tennis industry but i am at the point where i am thinking i might have to give up hope...i would really appreciate some advice?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

E-MAIL coaches directly especially at smaller programs and see if they have any Graduate Assistant opportunities, that would be best bet. Would not plan on getting a major college gig until you have spent sometime working up.

You may even express your interests to you current head coach. See if you can enlist his help as a reference and even place some calls on your behalf where he can help with openings you are interested in.

my email

thanks guys...here is my email address: hydenst24@yahoo.com

ive asked my current head coach for help and he tries, but unfortunately he is also 1 of the top assistant football coaches at our school and we r the current DIII football natl champions and the perennial DIII football power house in the country so thats his top priority and tennis comes second at times cause he is so busy...so his tennis contact list isnt as good large as i would hope it to be....
