Getting permanant marker off raceuet

There are some n code tour 90s for sale locally that are in great shape except someone decided to color all of the white black with a marker. Is it possible to get this off? I'd like to buy them if so but unsure if not.

Acetone does a great job of removing Sharpie marks, but I haven't tried it on racquet paint before.

For 20 bucks for sticks that are 7.5 or 8 condition otherwise it's worth a try. I just want them for fun anyway. Now I have to figure out if I want to get them with the 5/8 grip since I normally use a 3/8. Thanks for the advice guys

DONT use Acetone or MEK unless you want to remove the clear coat on the paint. It will also melt plastic. You have been warned!

I've found that Acetone applied with cotton buds or balls is quite safe on most racquet finishes.

Depending on how much the black marker ink has penetrated the white paint (if it has at all), that area may look grey-ish after you've cleaned it.

True, that's why I had to say that I hadn't tried it on a racquet before! It would be a "try at your own risk" kind of thing.
