Was wondering what string and tension Gilles Simon uses. I found on the boards that he was using the intellitour, was wondering if hes still using the same string. Also tension?

if you were clever you would have just checked the most recent pics of simon in the usopen... yeah he plays intellitour 25/24

my slazenger pro-braided racquet's tension recommendation is 55 to 60.......the stringer said if the string isn't nylon then you can string it higher or lower than that..is that true? if it is true then how much higher/lower can you string it? my string is yonex poly tour spin, thanks for your help

3.5 strikes again. This was discussed early this year (in Indian Wells I believe) where he already was using the silver string and reliable posters said it was a silver version of Intellitour.

No way - you can hear the strings snapping back. Intellitour doesn't make that sound.

Sheesh, who's the 3.5 now?

I strung for him in Cincy this year.

He uses a soft silver type of intellitour string in the mains, and a poly in the crosses, which seems to be the same as Poly Spin from Prince. I can't remember his tension. The poly looked/felt like 17 or even 18 gauge.

Thank you! Finally somebody who knows what they're talking about.

Leagues above those amateurs.

5point agrees to include himself in the amateur league. I guess now you guys can stop picking at him :P

How's that club team coming along?

We have a lot of fun travelling to tournaments, when we take our top players we place in the top 16 everywhere we go, we party with the other teams, and making plenty of fun times. How was that supposed to be an insult? lol

It wasn't; I was just trying to make conversation. I'm glad it worked out for you.

is he the only top 100 player that is using a multi? I never heard before of a pro using multi.

Actually a lot of them do, but not many of the top guys use multi. I know Wilson Sensation was given to a lot of the journeymen type of players.

When I did the Challangers I was getting Prince Sweet Perfection for a time, but that was way before the massive poly use that we have now.

pretty sure it has been gut/element for a while now, but may actually be full bed of element here by the looks of it

If you want to play Gilles SImon style of tennis string or racquet are not important. You could play that even with a kitchen cutting board, easily.

Just push the ball over the net over and over again.
