Standing by your friends is good.

Being friends with bad people is bad.

Standing by your bad friends is enabling.
Enabling is when your friend is an alcoholic and you take him out drinking every week.

Much different than disowning them because they did something you had no idea about until after it happened.

I like this drinking example.

Say your friend commits a crime. You encourage him not to take responsibility for his actions. Isn't he likely to do more crimes?

In this analogy doing crimes is like drinking.

Depends on the crime I suppose.

And nobody knows what Isner did or did not say to him. It’s merely making a character judgment based off hearsay.

Well either Isner supported JG staying in his position, or he didn't. I hope he didn't.

Let's say the crime was a violent assault? Losing control and beating someone to a pulp. Losing control sounds awfully like drinking.

Who got beat up and for what reason did the beating occur? I need details sir.

And you’re getting enabling a little confused. Enabling them would imply I had something to do with the assault. If my friend has a drinking problem and I don’t drink with them, I’m not enabling them.

I don't. There's never an excuse for losing control and doing crimes. Assault is assault.

But if you want more details I'm sure you can look up the court documents, including the victim statement.

I also notice that we keep changing the subject - are we discussing whether supporting a bad friend is enabling or are we defending the actions themselves?

Yes hoping a disgusting violent human being and sociopath, bigot, homophobe, and complete a-hole kills himself is something only a soulless person would ever wish for, LOL! Thanks for putting me on ignore, good riddance to an idiot.
You sound potentially violent yourself  so I hope you don't get too angry when I hit the ignore button. I have to do it now. I'm sorry but it's out of my hands. Peace Out !

Enabling means you’re partaking in the activity or directly contributing to it. Like me giving you money so you can support a drug habit or doing drugs with you. You’re confusing enabling with being a negligent friend.

And assault is not assault. Me jumping the net and beating up a guy over a line call is a lot different than you hitting a guy because he grabbed your wife’s butt at a bar.

Hm, and when Justin was terrorizing his ex wife by planting cameras in her bedroom and violating her privacy I guess he was just being his good old sociopathic self, nothing to condemn there ?
Two things:
1) Since when is sociopath something good?
2) Neither Isner nor we have proof that he did all the stuff you mentioned.
