No love lost, I think. Shiras was making a harmless "your job is safe now" joke and Gimelstob struck back. And Gimelstob is a well-known jackass.
Justin never says anything to hurt anyone
Gimelstob just shouted "shalom" after one of the Israeli's hit a nice winner. Ok, no wonder who he's rooting for.
+1. He just ruins the whole match for me. He's such a toad.I really, really dislike him as a commentator.
He does okay when he's just on the sideline.
Justin and Leif are good friends. They often tease each other on the air. They are both probably a bit loose from getting up so early 2 days in a row since they are calling these matches from Santa Monica.
Justin's not rooting for anyone, barring a miracle Spain wins this and everyone knows it. He often brings the yiddish if he's calling any match with a fellow Jewish player, he's just having fun.

At least he has one person that likes him..
lol..

He has many more than one, just not on this forum. Either way, he's not losing sleep over it, so have at it.
I like JG. seems like a pretty cool guy off the court. someone that would actually talk to the fans. Unlike most of the jerks on tour.
He never achieved a level where he could be compared to others who are hounded by fans.

... he is always the only guy laughing when he talks..
also because of the stupid things he said about anna Kounikova that time

It wasn't just "stupid." Go back and reread them. They were made against Kournikova and WTA players in general. And see what exactly he said about her. It was far more serious than a stupid drunk remark. It is a shame that other ATP players had nothing to say about it. Probably because of his connections.
Make no mistake about it - this is about money. His friends came to his rescue (behind the scenes) to ensure that his post-playing career flourishes. Networks were running his spots till people wrote them letters.
... the worst body in the history of the ATP. His upper body was prone to being quite overweight, and his calves were the size of a parakeets. .....
.....air-grabber, his ****e-eating grin is bothersome to no end. He presents the appearance of a dolt who stole candy and is unsuccessfully trying to hide the fact from the public.
LOL..as if Anna is any better of a person? Get real, she is huge biatch. what has she done with her fame? oh yea, make calenders, play with Enrique and hit tennis balls for the WTT. that girl could have done a world of good for people that need help.
This is a good point. His 1 handed BH was pretty streaky, too.
I don't want to play dimestore psychiatrist here, but let's profile Gimel for a minute here.
Jersey kid, successful family, a bit of a nerd if it weren't for tennis,
gets a full ride at a PAC 10 school ... IN WESTWOOD,
extrovert with Hollywoodish influences and opportunities around him,
reasonable results in pro tennis,
guested in the booth while injured,
opportunistic kid who wanted to justify not going into one of the traditional careers a nice Jewish boy ought to pursue,
influenced by movies like SWINGERS,
wants very badly to remain relevant, while living in Los Angeles,
fights for his right to parrrrtayyy,
irks the tasteful minority while intriguing the mainstream fratboy fan,
and appears poised for success in the world of sports broadcasting in America.
If we're looking for integrity and class here, we ought to look elsewhere.
Blaming the victim is obviously your response.
And yes, she has participated in numerous charity events.
And yes, her personal life should be of no concern to the Gimelstob or you.
It probably runs in his family. Someone who knows his family wrote a letter to Inside Tennis. It seems his father has one hellish temper. But that is no excuse once someone becomes an adult. He needs to understand that life has dealt him a set of genes and he has to make the best of it.
The problem is not him - it is the Agassis, the Federers, the Nadals, and those in the tennis industry who have chosen to gloss over his issues.[/QUOTE]
don't forget the Azzurris.
as if you know...go and google her life and so called charity work. she is no better than JG and frankly does not deserve any respect.

I dont mind Gimelstob too much. Shiras is terrible though, he takes stating the obvious to a level that it has never reached before.
awesome avatar...

Gimelstob was a good diver. If there is anything about Gimelstob that people will remember him for it will be his diving ability. I remember a few years back at Wimbledon, he played Hewitt and I think he dove over 10 times. It was just a crazy number.
