Moose Malloy
G.O.A.T.
Up to 44 in the live rankings, maybe he'll have a good enough summer to be seeded at USO.
Why, WHY did I only bet $200 on this? Ugh.
Feel like GMP would prefer facing say, Rublev or even Fritz (who actually looked pedestrian against Zverev serve until the 5th) over Musetti.Musetti didn’t really have much of an issue with the serve in Stuttgart. Went 0/8 on BP and had a better first serve win % than Gio did which is never a good sign. He can block back returns and play the sort of cat and mouse grass tennis that guys like Ruusuvuori can’t. I’d probably take Musetti, but 5 sets is different, and Gio will surely have learned.
Hope you got in on thisGood value bet in Mussetti. There’s a decent chance he wins rather easily in 4 sets.
Edit: I see that Musetti has gone from a -130 favorite down to a -110. I’m very surprised at this.
Only two units—should have listened to myself for something bigger. I also had a unit on a ADM/Musetti/Djoko parlay.Hope you got in on this
The win over Shelton is particularly amusing because Shelton often goes into his matches with a certain serve gravitas. It doesn't always pan out, obviously, but the potential is there for Shelton on a given day to really bother someone with his serve. And today he meets a player who essentially says, "oh, that's cute."
The fact that barely anyone cares on this forum about GMP's insane run and serving stats in Basel is really sad. F*cking Big 3 sycophants.
Gotta be the best mover at that size we have ever seen, no?
I dont think so tbh.Alcaraz and Sinner are getting some good competition:

I watched him yesterday and very impressed, will be interesting to watch how well he does in the future. The fact that barely anyone cares on this forum about GMP's insane run and serving stats in Basel is really sad. F*cking Big 3 sycophants.

He's the new big guy of tennis. And a very welcome addition to the tour, this guy can be a threat to anyone.
Is he shaping up to be the new Giant Servebot of the tennis tour in the hallowed traditions of Ivanisevic, Karlovic, Isner and Anderson (Opelka seems to have got bored with the role)?
Dont think the last 3 mentioned there are any bit as quick as goran when he was fit. He did better on clay than any of the others. He's far more athletic and mobile than them and is 'only' 6'8"
I think he's got potential to be a bit more than a servebot
Yah man, kid has the power, moves well and can hit an eye catching shbh. Like his demeanour too. All else being equal, it is reasonable to expect that he, like other youngsters, will improve. Hope so. It would be most interesting to have a good mix of excellent players competing for the top prizes.I watched him yesterday and very impressed, will be interesting to watch how well he does in the future.

For being 6'8" his serves should be better.
He has all the stats of a classic bot:He's not just a bot. He has good groundstrokes, great touch at the net and nice movement as well.
Well the "eye test" doesnt change the fact that he only wins 10% of his return games, which are on par with Karlovic.no way is he a servebot. he is very athletic and has great hands.
People who call him that haven't watched him play.
Karlovic was fun to watch as he had to come in due to being slow and having a weak rally backhand.Well the "eye test" doesnt change the fact that he only wins 10% of his return games, which are on par with Karlovic.
That's actually a very good point so we should keep an eye on that stat over the next couple of years.Well the "eye test" doesnt change the fact that he only wins 10% of his return games, which are on par with Karlovic.
Yeah there is ofc no clear definition of a "Servebot", but there have been som good threads over the years. I think some good stats to define it is:That's actually a very good point so we should keep an eye on that stat over the next couple of years.
I agree with you except about the double faults. Isner didn't give away many points.Yeah there is ofc no clear definition of a "Servebot", but there have been som good threads over the years. I think some good stats to define it is:
- Return games won around 10-15%
- Sky high Aces pr match
- Sky high DF's pr match
- 2nd serve win ranking considerably lower than 1st serve win ranking.
So far Perricard qualifies perfectly imo, but ofc that can change.
He has all the stats of a classic bot:
- Return games won around 10%
- Skyhigh Aces pr match
- Skyhigh DF's pr match
- 2nd serve win drops like a rock (relatively to other players) to 1st serve win.
isner's kick serve was perfect in every wayI agree with you except about the double faults. Isner didn't give away many points.
Yeah dont know if Isner was a classic Servebot. Isner also had very good 2nd serve stats.isner's kick serve was perfect in every way
Oh my godYeah dont know if Isner was a classic Servebot. Isner also had very good 2nd serve stats.
