What is ptp?Thought in the latest TW vid he was doing a gut hybrid. The highlights from Toronto looks like he's onto a full bed of PTP now. Coach's influence maybe?
For 2 hoursAll roads lead to PTP eventually
Works in 2015 and older blades. But v7, 8 you need something just a bit stiffer/crisper.PTP is good in most racquets but the Blade rejects it

I'm not sure what you mean by frying pan. My experience is that after those 2-3 hours that outstanding control is completely lost. I play the same way but not hitting my spots at all, it's not reliable, loses tension, goes wild.Exactly! Plays like a dream for those 2 hours and then becomes a frying pan in my PA98.
Have you tried Tecnifibre Razor Code? I personally enjoyed it way more than PTP.I'm not sure what you mean by frying pan. Has anyone found a string that plays like PTP's first two hours for like 6-7 hours?
I haven't. Thanks for the tip, will give a try one day when I finish my current two reels (Blast and Kirschbaum PLX)Have you tried Tecnifibre Razor Code? I personally enjoyed it way more than PTP.![]()

Yeah and I can eat the cut out strings for breakfast lunch and dinner. Too costlyYeah. Restring your racquets after 2 hours of play.
Yeah. Unfortunately that’s PTP for you. No other string feels/plays like it.Yeah and I can eat the cut out strings for breakfast lunch and dinner. Too costly
Which poly strings do you recommend?Yeah. Unfortunately that’s PTP for you. No other string feels/plays like it.Very good for 1-2 hours. If it hasn’t broken by 2 hours, it’s completely bagged out, feels harsh and launches the ball like a trampoline.
PTP is like Alu. Both are fine if you break them within 5-10 hrs of hitting. Most poly strings are like this.Which poly strings do you recommend?

How does BK and TS compare to Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour?Tru Pro Black Knight or Tour Status. Or Solinco Tour Bite mains crossed with Outlast, prince tour xp, or RS Lyon.

BK is more comfortable than S7T. I find S7T to be a bit too stiff and harsh. I only use it as a main with a softer poly cross. BK and TS like S7T are durable and hold tension pretty well. TS is more similar to S7T but is a little bit more powerful. How does BK and TS compare to Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour?
Maybe I'm insensitive to changes in tension, but Alu still keeps the ball in the court after 3 hours.5-10 hours out of Alu or PTP?They’re only good for ~2-3 hours. If I was getting them free, I’d use them
After 1-2 hours of hitting, Alu is notched halfway for me. When any string is notched that deeply, it’s not going to grip the ball well to generate spin.Maybe I'm insensitive to changes in tension, but Alu still keeps the ball in the court after 3 hours.
If it's half notched after 2 hours, it should break in 3 or 4.After 1-2 hours of hitting, Alu is notched halfway for me. When any string is notched that deeply, it’s not going to grip the ball well to generate spin.
Nope. Will pop anytime. One good hit will shear the mains. I just don’t bother to wait for it pop when it’s already halfway notched. If it's half notched after 2 hours, it should break in 3 or 4.
