Giron onto full PTP?

Thought in the latest TW vid he was doing a gut hybrid. The highlights from Toronto looks like he's onto a full bed of PTP now. Coach's influence maybe?

Exactly! Plays like a dream for those 2 hours and then becomes a frying pan in my PA98.
I'm not sure what you mean by frying pan. My experience is that after those 2-3 hours that outstanding control is completely lost. I play the same way but not hitting my spots at all, it's not reliable, loses tension, goes wild.
Has anyone found a string that plays like PTP's first two hours for like 6-7 hours?

Have you tried Tecnifibre Razor Code? I personally enjoyed it way more than PTP. (y)

Yeah. Restring your racquets after 2 hours of play.

Yeah. Unfortunately that’s PTP for you. No other string feels/plays like it. :( Very good for 1-2 hours. If it hasn’t broken by 2 hours, it’s completely bagged out, feels harsh and launches the ball like a trampoline.
Which poly strings do you recommend?

PTP is like Alu. Both are fine if you break them within 5-10 hrs of hitting. Most poly strings are like this.
5-10 hours out of Alu or PTP? They’re only good for ~2-3 hours. If I was getting them free, I’d use them

Are you saying Giron is going to retire and play paddle tennis full time ?? i thought he was doing so well on the tour now ?

How does BK and TS compare to Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour?
BK is more comfortable than S7T. I find S7T to be a bit too stiff and harsh. I only use it as a main with a softer poly cross. BK and TS like S7T are durable and hold tension pretty well. TS is more similar to S7T but is a little bit more powerful.

Maybe I'm insensitive to changes in tension, but Alu still keeps the ball in the court after 3 hours.
After 1-2 hours of hitting, Alu is notched halfway for me. When any string is notched that deeply, it’s not going to grip the ball well to generate spin.
