Well, what's the one thing I learned today.

TTW stands for Talk Turtle Warehouse!

So many Ninja Turtle fans here, I love it! (y) Cowabunga dudes and dudettes!

Yes, about as widescreen as you want it to be. The question really becomes then, when it gets too big, where to look. LOL

LOL, I won't be paying for any testing material. ;)
True. The experience is different from watching a classic 55 inch or 65 inch TV anyway :)

Had my new VR delivered, and I have to say it is quite a blast, though the Mrs hates it as it gives her motion sickness. Got the system connected to my computer, so whatever I stream on it, will be displayed within the VR world, and it looks the size of an IMAX screen.

Was playing Half Life yesterday after finishing work, and yeah....was totally freaked out at times by the zombies! Going to try to watch some RG matches through the VR, it is very immersive, you feel like you are two rows back in the crowd, watched some highlights of Earth's Mightiest last night...yeah, will follow him through. It will be quite the experience. Would love to show you photos from within the VR, but unable to right now. Need to figure that out.

Probably would have to sit through Nadal beating the living daylights out of the draw....yay! :(
.
FYI - Godzilla vs Kong looks freakin' epic, they look massive!

Yes, I'm not quite used to it yet, will take some time.

Sir, why don't you have a Vegeta toy? You don't like the Prince of all Saiyans?

Oh, I have ordered this. And it lights up, I have had it spec'd out before ordering it. If you want, I will show you a photo when I get it. LOL

So how this work then. What do you need to purchase. I'm interested myself now.

And what do I need for to be compatible. I've got a smart TV, Windows 10 laptop, PS4

Can I connect to anything?

I personally had a personal spec build done for my Alienware machine with the final goal being of getting a VR system built in. But, you don't need that, you can do it through a laptop or PS4 also, not sure about smart TV, I didn't try it with that. It basically connects downloads its software interfaces to your machine. You also get two stands that have small cameras on them, you have to place them on opposite sides of the room, they basically map the room, and you need to stand between them. Then within the VR you see a green circle which is what you can walk around in, it is a safety measure, you should never walk outside the green area, as the VR has tracked your room to make that the safe area to make sure you don't hit anything. If your room is small, then you can just sit on a chair in the middle, and use your hands to point to where you want to walk to.

You have these special controllers, one for each hand. When you look at them through the VR, they basically are your hands, you can move your fingers as if they were real. Really cool. When you then watch a tennis match, you can watch it as a TV, or go full immersive, so basically blow it up in HD all around you, so you feel as if you are there. The VR does all the work, but needs a connection to your machine, which should connect to the internet.

I'm just like your gf, maybe worse - I get instant motion sickness when I try my son's VR helmet. Same at the movies with 3D glasses when the camera moves a lot on the screen (threw up at Avatar and have to look at my feet when the action goes wild in a film). Don't know how many people are affected by this but it sure must be a marketing problem.

Oh, and : nice calves :)

Is there any tennis available to watch in 3D? Not just the VR simulating you watching a TV? Surely that would be the whole point of watching tennis in VR, if it were available.

I think it is the constant motion, I guess it not for some.

As for my calves. Only open if you want to see my calves...but I digress.

Many people here know I used to compete, so I have pretty jacked up calves. :)

Not sure to be honest. Just watching what is available.

Haha! Epic. Autobots and Decepticons! Lets see, Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Wheeljack, Hound, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave and is that Thundercracker in the back?

Thundercracker and not Skywarp?

Yeah, you got it all right, respect! Skywarp should arrive in October, Starscream next month, can't wait to get them finally.

Lol, yeah, that's Laserbeak on Megatron's arm.

Gen One rules. Massive fan of the original series. You've got a solid collection already. I want to get The Dinobots together, Grimlock, Sludge, Sl.ag, Snarl and Swoop.

Yeah, the G1 will always be the Transformers for me.

Dinobots are great, they are on my list right after the Devastator. :D

I think Hitman is going to find himself in a dangerous situation returning the serves of Rafa's opponents while Rafa will stand so far back, he would basically end up in Hitman's home, chilling on the sofa.

Nice. Well Dinobots and Devastator are arch rivals. So it has to happen, I guess! 8-B Any others you got your eyes on, you seem like a Decepticon fan to me, Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust, Cyclonus, Scourage, Galvatron?

He better not ask me to fetch his towel for him. :-D

I plan to get all of them, just waiting for Takara to announce the new version of the coneheads. The Thundercracker you see in the background is from the older series (2011 I think), the new ones arrive this year. One by one, I guess. :)

You make a very good point. If TV networks actually try to do something like, or give an alternative view, that would be insane. I mean, what I will watch will be your standard view, but you do make a very good point.
Have you tried this with other sports? Do all the little movements ever give you motion sickness (nausea)? Any more thoughts on the pros and cons of VR sports viewing?

Can you take advantage of the France Television innovations?

France Télévisions once again chooses the French Open to test the innovations of the television of the future. During this fall edition, France Televisions, in partnership with the French Tennis Federation, shares its vision of tomorrow's uses materialized by spectacular and unprecedented experiments around "Augmented Tennis" within the RGLAB on the site of the international tournament from September 27 to October 11, 2020.

For this 2020 edition, France Télévisions has imagined and designed, together with exceptional technological partners from France and abroad, an ambitious program based on emerging technologies and functionalities or those developed specifically for the occasion. Watching DCEU Zack Synder’s Justice League got to be like being in the action! I like VR entertainment. It going to compete with supersize LED 120”+ 8K TV screens coming out in Fall 2022. 8K will be rolling out with 75”+ TVs this Fall. As prices drop and quality gets better, I think VR watching will be the next new entertainment must have!

It has arrived...straight from Japan. Going to be doing some epic modelling to get this done, with the lights installed inside the pod.

When I get it built, do a nice paint job because I want to the wear and tear effect on the pod and Vegeta's armor, plus get the lights installed in his tracker and the pod, it will just freaking rule. I'll show the you finished product when I have finished, and that completes my Saiyan collection....though I will be looking to get Broly.

That's nice. I can't wait to see it.

I like the canon Broly design.
