Going up a weight class after hitting with RF97

Parted with my RF97 because I found the heft translated into too many stray balls when I would tire late in a match. Granted that is not the fault of the racquet but a technique and fitness (and maybe ageing) issue.

Then found myself chasing the addictive plow through, pace and stability, leading up my other racquets close to RF97 specs. Preferred specs are now about 12.5 ounces or 355 grams (with overgrip and rubber band), 10 points head light, and with the weight more polarised than the RF. I also prefer the control/ trajectory of a tighter string pattern compared to the RF, namely, Babolat Pure Strike Tour and have started tinkering with a Wilson Blade 98 2015 18x20.

Similarly, the friend I sold the RF97 to had his other racquets matched to RF97 specs (including an APD) and alternates using them with RF (even during a match, e.g. serving with APD and returning with RF).

Wondering if there are others who have gone up a weight class after hitting with the RF97?

Seems like Wilson 6.1 95 series would fit your specs perfectly.

Imo, the RF97A has its DNA from the 6.1 95 series.

If you want more spin: 16x18.
If you want more control: 18x20.

That being said, if there existed a 6.1 95 16x19, the RF97 would be its better sibling.

Are you sure 30-40 grams making such a big impact late in the match or is it similar with a lighter racquet? In my experience, no matter how light the racquet is, I'd still get tired especially if I didn't have enough sleep or had a long day at work. In my case, I should be working out and having enough sleep no matter what racquet I am using.
