The Spanish armada in full force.It looks like we'll have Fed-Nadal semi if Fed beats Roddick,I would rather watch Fed-Nadal best of five final though.

I was thinking the same thing. Seeing Nadal and Ferrer win. It's so obvious he doesn't want Nadal to advance. Ain't gonna happen ninman. We all know you hate Nadal.
 
Hm, somehow I wish Federer would win in 3 not in straights against Roddick. That way we have a Nadal/Roddick, Ferrer/Federer semi and possible a Nadal/Federer final.

We just have to hope that Federer is at least on his game tomorrow so that he wins, that's all he has to do.
 
I'm not sure that the best match right now would be a federer-nadal. I think Ferrer is in better shape than both of them. he has been playing amazing this last three weeks

Federer has played Ferrer 7 times... 7-0 to Federer.

The best Ferrer has done is take a set off Fed at Hamburg this year.

Somehow though, i think Ferrer could really worry Fed in Shanghai. Fed is not serving well and we all know about the way Ferrer is returning. Could be very interesting. I hope we get to see it.
 
Hard tasks for Roddick from now on! Federer then Ferrer! :)

Ferrer's been the best player of the tournament so far but he hasn't been in any important finals yet. I don't know if he will be mentally strong in the SF or an eventual final.
It's not surprising that he won his group but I don't think he'll be the champion here.

Gasquet tried but he couldn't find an opening against him, so he just tried to go for more and was missing. Ferrer was literally all over the place. Very much like Hewitt in his prime.

When you have to deal with his steroid accusations and constant Nadal hater posting you'll understand. But now he's trying to come off as neutral. He was calling Nalby a fluke and just saying how badly he wanted to see them both lose. I had enough. Do a search on BNP Paribas Paris Masters and read his work. Then you'll see.

I did not see the match unfortunately but from what I have gathered Gasquet must have been poor as well as Ferrer being good. Ferrer won just 1 point on serve in the entire 1st set! How staggering a statistic is that. Hopefully there will be some highlights to download soon so I can really see what went on.

I am watching the match now on ESPN, and does anyone get the impression that the top 2 players, have nothing on Ferrer as far as form in this tournament?

All, I can say is "well!!!", but great stuff from Ferrer.

Well, I didn't see this coming from a country mile away. Anytime someone plays well they're taking steroids. Just like everytime someone loses they're done or should switch to a larger frame. :roll:

Suddenly? He beat Nalbandian and Nadal at USO. Then beat Gasquet 1 and 2 in Tokyo. Ferrer's made steady improvement over the past few years. He broke into top 20 in '05 and has gotten better each year since. His forehand and serve have become much more offensive. His movement was always good.
 
I am starting to think that if Ferrer sustains this level of play to the clay court season,things can be very interesting.
