i came back from vacation and to my absolute horror, the golf channel has been moved to super-premium package. basically you know have to pay for the channel separately..... very sad as the golf channel was often my comfort channel i.e. put it in our as you clean your condo.
anyhow, my question is this (and i think it has relevance to tennis channel perhaps coming to canada):
did the golf channel get moved to premium area due to popularity or not enough interest? a guy from rogers suggested the latter (little interest), which i find hard (not impossible to believe)..... curious if golf channel raised its fee. for those who don't know, espn charges the cable co's a fortune (and i guess yankees TV and cable co's had a huge battle).
but maybe it was lack of interest... anyone actually know? thanks in advance
