hey everyone. has anyone tried buying a cheap manual crank machine such as Eagnas and then adding a Wise 2086 to it? Does this upgrade turn a cheap stringer into a pretty good one? Since the Wise 2086 is pretty expensive, i wouldnt be able to add it on to a nice machine like gamma.

Many have. I almost bought a used series 10.2 Wise 2086 Pro from fleabay to put on a Plus 6500 I recently aquired.

What makes a machine cheap usually isn't the crank. It's usually the mounting system and clamps. However, if you buy a cheap machine and a Wise, eventually you may be able to buy a better machine, and just move the Wise over to the new one. So, in that respect, it's not a bad move.

a cheap machine with a wise is still a cheap machine. the clamps and mounting system are what make the machine. the tensioner is just that..... a tensioner.....
