Goodbye, quality Performance Air Max.

We have, in the past 6 years, the end of high performance air max. We have gone from air court ballistic and air max cage to air max wildcard, a very bad shoe in terms of durability and materials and the air tech challenge 20, a grandpa shoe. Yikes.

I do miss the Air Max tech in tennis shoes but the Zoom tech isn’t that bad. The ATC20 isn’t a ‘grandpa shoe’ It’s just a modern version of the classic/iconic ATCII. I actually don’t mind the shoe in looks and performance, but the only thing I would change is the ventilation. The list goes in order like this:

I agree the ATC 20 is a good performer, however I just get some massive New Balance vibes. I also agree that tennis shoes, and maybe Nike specifically, need to improve ventilation. I am rotating a pair of cage 3’s, solecourt boost and gel resolution 8, and the cage’s feel the most warm, and the other two feel ok in ventilation.
