Google Earth problems

I have tried to uninstall and install google earth several times now, but everytime I open it, and start to zoom in on a city ex., it freezes, and restarts the computer, letting me know a serious error occured.

Can anyone help me with this?
Does it have anything to do with graphic cards or anything?

Yes and/or how fast your processor is. Although, you must have a pretty old computer for Google Earth not to run properly. I know on some computers at my work it runs fine, other (older models) it craps out just like you explained.

There are certain types of graphic cards that don't work well with Google Earth. I think it has to do with the 3D rendering part. Check the Google Earth FAQ as to what cards positively don't work. You can also try un-checking the "Show 3D buildings" in the Layers box (bottom left) to see if it makes a difference.

By the way - I just installed Google Earth to check out the 3D Walt Disney World model, and it's fantastic.
